The latest RPG offering from Atlus, Metaphor: ReFantazio, also features some uniquely imaginative weaponry.
In various stores nationwide, you’ll find items that are worth the purchase. Yet, certain ones may prove elusive unless players are particularly observant within the game “Metaphor: ReFantazio”. Today, let’s explore some initial discoveries, the classes they can be utilized by, and which characters benefit most from them. It’s time to gear up for this fantastical RPG adventure!
8 Golden Epee

In the game “Metaphor: ReFantazio”, the character Will (the main protagonist) begins as a Seeker Archetype, wielding The Golden Epee as his starting weapon. This sword can be found at Spado Smithy, the weapon shop located in Grand Trad’s capital, Spado City. Although it comes with a high price tag, there are discount days throughout the week to help lighten the cost. This sword offers enhanced Strength for increased physical attack power and Magic for boosted spell potency, such as Cyc.
7 Dragon’s Judgement

In the realm of ReFantazio, I discovered that obtaining the powerful Dragon’s Judgement calls for a procedure known as purification within the game. Nestled in the heart of Grand Trad lies the sacred St. Fermis Church, a place where select weapons can be enhanced at a cost. To embark on this journey, first, you must conquer the Fire Dragon Mauna in the Nord Mines and claim the mighty Dragon’s Indignation greatsword as your prize. Once accomplished, this greatsword can be upgraded into the formidable Dragon’s Judgement, boosting stats and infusing attacks with a fiery advantage. As part of the Warrior Archetype that Strohl awakens, wielding such greatswords becomes an integral part of my character.
6 Demon Slayer Pike

- Bonus Effect: Strength +2, Endurance +2, More Effective Vs Demihuman-type monsters
- Location: St. Fermis Church
In the metaphorical tale “ReFantazio”, the Demon Slayer Spear serves as another illustration of purification. This spear is an item the Knight Archetype can wield, and initially, it’s available to characters starting with Hulkenberg.
Firstly, to access the Belega Corridor, players need to discover the Imp-Ending Pike. This area becomes accessible as part of the A Bullish Embargo side quest, which can be initiated by the merchant Brigitta in Grand Trad. Once the quest is underway, players can subsequently improve their spear at St. Fermis Church.
5 Grand Master’s Staff

- Location: St. Fermis Church
The Grand Master’s Staff has to be unlocked through purification. It belongs to the Mage Archetype which operates similarly to other mage classes in RPGs and the staff will miraculously strengthen all attack spells. The starter staff for this upgrade is called the Sage’s Staff. It’s located in the Abandoned Tomb which cannot be located until players reach the town of Martina in the story. There they will meet Alonzo who will unlock this location for a side quest in Metaphor: ReFantazio called A Dagger, a Ring, and a Rake.
4 Serenity Sceptre

As a healer in this RPG game, I find myself on the opposite end of a mage, yet equally essential to our team’s success. The game has an Archetype specifically designed for us – the Healer. We wield maces, and one of the earliest and most powerful ones is called the Serenity Sceptre. To get it, I need to upgrade from the Moonlight Mace, which can be found within the game’s first main dungeon, the Regalith Grand Cathedral. With the Serenity Sceptre in hand, I can amplify my Light-based attacks, just like with the spell Hama, which proves incredibly effective against undead enemies lurking within the Regalith Grand Cathedral as well.
3 Fist of Salvation

- Location: St. Fermis Church
Alternatively, The Fist of Salvation is another powerful weapon effective against undead creatures such as the Serenity Sceptre. Moreover, you can discover the initial gloves for this spiritual upgrade, the Exorcist Knuckles, in the same location – Regalith Grand Cathedral.
In the course of the Regalith Grand Cathedral arc, you can acquire and use the Brawler Archetype in your game, which comes with equipment options such as gloves or other hand-held weapons. This archetype is unlocked by a character named Catherina, who resembles the Social Links characters from the Persona series.
2 Thrift Abacus

Similar to many role-playing games, Metaphor: ReFantazio features an array of unusual weapons, and among them, there’s nothing quite like the Abacus weapons. These unique tools are wielded by the Merchant class characters. To acquire this Archetype, players can approach Brigitta, a previously mentioned NPC who doubles as a Follower. In combat, these abacus weapons offer impressive reach. General characters aside, obtaining the Thrift Abacus involves discovering the Apprentice’s Abacus within the Abandoned Tomb and subsequently upgrading it through a purification process. One of the advantages of this weapon is that it reduces the cost of monkey skills. In Metaphor: ReFantazio, players can achieve this by effectively “spending” money on enemies, a mechanic known as Reeve.
1 Hellfire Fangs

- Bonus Effect: Adds Fire Element
- Location: St. Fermis Church
Notable among the final weapons is the dagger, a choice weapon for the Faker Archetype character. This character class can be obtained through the side quest given by Alonzo, who later joins as a companion. Similar to other examples, players must enhance a basic weapon to obtain a superior one. In this case, the Crimson Fangs can be found in the Abandoned Tomb and then improved into the Hellfire Fangs. Just like the Dragon’s Judgement, this enhancement infuses fire damage into your attacks.
