Remedy Entertainment’s First Multiplayer Game, FBC Firebreak, Coming 2025

As a die-hard fan who’s spent countless hours huddled around screens with friends in the co-op shooter trenches, the announcement of FBC: Firebreak by Remedy Entertainment is nothing short of electrifying! With its gripping narrative and the tantalizing blend of genres, it’s like they’ve taken the best parts of my favorite games and served them up on a silver platter.

It’s likely you’re familiar with Remedy Entertainment, renowned for its outstanding work in story-driven horror games, including Alan Wake, Alan Wake 2, and Control. However, it appears the studio is looking to explore new territories. Although they’re staying within the horror genre, their forthcoming game marks a new step for them – it’s Remedy’s first multiplayer title. At Xbox Partner Preview, Remedy Entertainment unveiled FBC: Firebreak, a three-player cooperative game that seems to be set in the same universe as Control.

Judging by the unveiling trailer, it appears that FBC: Fierbreak will offer a narrative-focused horde shooting experience, blending thrilling aspects of Killing Floor 2, Warhammer 40,000: Darktide, and elements derived from the studio’s past single-player horror titles.

As a die-hard fan of cooperative shooter games, particularly those with horde modes, I can’t help but feel an electrifying sense of anticipation for new additions to this genre that seems to have hit a creative rut!

Not just Firebreak is the fresh announcement coming from the Xbox Partner Preview; other studios have also revealed Subnautica 2 and Cronos: The New Dawn as their new projects too!
