How to Steal the Fedora from the Museum in High on Life 2

In High on Life 2, while completing the main mission to eliminate Larry Pinkstock, you’ll need to grab a fedora from a museum display on the cruise ship. This is to keep Travis, the Gatlian who got you access to the event, pleased and willing to help.

Larry Pinkstock’s Fedora is a valuable item and a famous movie prop, so it’s kept safe inside a very strong, reinforced glass case. You won’t be able to simply break the glass – you’ll need to find a way to shatter it using something else.

How to Steal the Fedora from the Museum in High on Life 2

To get the Fedora for Travis in the “Kill Billionaire Larry Pinkstock” mission, you have to use the laser from the exhibit right across from the Fedora to shatter the glass case it’s in.

The hat is located on the far right side of a large control board that manages the Museum’s security systems. On the left side of the board, you’ll see a blurry, suggestive shape and a purple panel you can use. Interacting with this exhibit will let you operate a laser, which you can use to open the display case holding the hat.

To get the laser to hit the Fedora, you’ll first need to position it correctly. You can do this by turning on the laser and carefully sliding it across the circuit board from left to right. Be careful to avoid the active circuits, which are laid out like a maze.

Point the laser at the blank areas of the circuit board and guide it across, following the path in the screenshot. If the laser touches a working component (the green shapes), it will automatically pull back slightly.

Okay, so when you get the laser to the top right of the board, things start to break down – parts of the circuit will fall apart and block your path. But don’t panic! Every time that happens, a new opening will appear somewhere else, letting you redirect the laser. It’s a bit like waiting for the puzzle to shift and reveal a new way forward. Just take a breath and watch for the new route to open up before you try moving again.

As you get close to the end, a blue alien will block your path. Don’t be concerned – the alien is protected from the laser. To get to the display case holding the Fedora, simply aim the laser at the alien’s chest.

Once the laser breaks the glass of the display case, approach the Fedora and pick it up using the interact button. Travis will instantly put it on, finishing the mission.

Successfully completing the laser maze will unlock the “Dunston Has Checked In” achievement.
