How to Harvest a Key Chocolate Ingredient in DDV

So, in Disney Dreamlight Valley, every Star Path event has these little quests you do to get the special currency. Right now, I’m working on the Paw-fect Romance Star Path, and one of the things it’s asking me to do is gather a specific type of chocolate ingredient – kinda like a scavenger hunt!

It looks straightforward, but the challenge lies in identifying the correct ingredient. While the valley offers many harvestable items, only one specific item counts as the chocolate ingredient. We’ll guide you through harvesting that crucial ingredient for this Star Path task in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

What’s the Key Chocolate Ingredient in Disney Dreamlight Valley

To make chocolate, you’ll need Cocoa Beans, and you can find them in two locations within Dreamlight Valley: Sunlit Plateau and Glade of Trust. Luckily, you don’t need to explore any extra paid areas – just open your map and quickly travel to either of those spots.

When you’re in the correct jungle or savanna area, look for Cocoa Bean trees – they’re large and have noticeable cocoa pods. The Sunlit Plateau has more of these trees, making it a quicker place to collect cocoa beans. You only need five cocoa beans to finish this Star Path task, which won’t take long at all. Each time you harvest, you get three beans, and the trees regrow a new batch in about 30 minutes.

Completing this duty rewards you with 10 Star Path tokens.

You can find Cocoa Beans at Goofy’s Stall in Sunlit Plateau, but you need to gather them yourself to complete this task – purchasing them won’t work. You’ll need to harvest all five beans personally.

Cocoa beans are a sweet treat used in many recipes throughout Dreamlight Valley. You’ll need them to make favorites like Birthday Cake, Chocolate Chip Cookies, Chocolate Macarons, Chocolate Ice Cream, Chocolate Waffles, Hot Cocoa, Red Velvet Cake, Yule Log, and plenty of other delicious dishes.
