Okay, so I was totally stuck on the Persuasion Device in Mewgenics! Dr. Beanies gives it to you if you help him out, but honestly, I had no clue what it did or how to actually use it. A lot of other players seem confused too, especially about finishing the quest to get the upgraded version. So, I put together this guide to walk you through everything – how to get the device, complete the quest, and finally understand what it’s all for. Hopefully, this will help you get the most out of it like I did!
How to Get the Persuasion Device in Mewgenics
As I mentioned earlier, you get the Persuasion Device by giving Dr. Beanies five cats with health problems – like mutations, birth defects, disorders, or parasites. Once you’ve given him five of these cats, he’ll reward you with one of his inventions.
It seems like the order you receive Dr. Beanies’ inventions is pretty unpredictable, particularly if you’ve previously owned one that you lost while running.
After you obtain the Persuasion Device, you can attach it to a cat before sending them on an adventure.
What Does the Persuasion Device Do and How to Complete its Side Quest in Mewgenics
Equipping the Persuasion Device to your cat lowers its speed, but it lets you permanently charm most enemies. When charmed, they’ll join your team and help you in battles!
The Persuasion Device only works on enemies right next to the cat wearing it. You can’t use it to charm enemies from far away.
Now that you have the Persuasion Device, the next step in its quest is to finish a run in a specific area while it’s equipped. This area seems to be chosen randomly, and it looks like the game picks it based on how far you’ve progressed in the story. It’s much easier to complete this quest earlier in the game when enemies aren’t as tough.
To earn progress, you must have the Persuasion Device equipped while you’re in the designated area.
To finish a run, you need to reach the end of the map and defeat the final boss. I suggest assigning this task to a cat that’s naturally fast. That way, the slight speed reduction won’t hinder their performance as much as it would for a slower cat.
Once you finish a run, go back to Dr. Beanies and he’ll give you 200 Coins. You also get to keep the Persuasion Device, which is really useful. It’s a bit of a shame though, that unlike the Magic Mirror, completing a run with it doesn’t unlock an improved version without the speed penalty.
