Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers now have two new games to enjoy: the highly anticipated High on Life 2, available on day one, and Kingdom Come: Deliverance. These are some of the biggest additions to the Game Pass library this year, giving subscribers even more gaming options.
Okay, so Xbox Game Pass has been killing it lately! It kicked off the year with some cool additions on January 6th – I jumped into Little Nightmares: Enhanced Edition and checked out Brews & Bastards. But it didn’t stop there! They’ve been adding some seriously big titles – I was super hyped to play the first two Final Fantasy games, and getting Death Stranding: Director’s Cut, Resident Evil Village, and Star Wars Outlaws on Game Pass was amazing. Now, they’ve just dropped a brand new FPS and a really popular RPG from 2018, which means there’s even more to play! It’s been a great start to the year for Game Pass subscribers like me.
High on Life 2 is a Day-One Release on Xbox Game Pass
The larger of the two new releases is High on Life 2, the sequel to the popular 2022 first-person shooter from Squanch Games. Microsoft announced in August 2025 that High on Life 2 would be available on Game Pass from day one, and it has now launched as promised. Early reviews give the game a score of 76 (based on top critics) and a 65% recommendation rate on OpenCritic. Players who have tried it early are enjoying its bright, quirky humor, unique art style, and engaging story.
The original High on Life was praised for its funny and lighthearted story, and Squanch Games aimed to deliver the same experience with the sequel, now available on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC. While some worried the humor might not be as fresh after two years, many critics were pleasantly surprised by High on Life 2‘s engaging story, interesting boss battles, and rewarding exploration of its vibrant world. It’s also coming to Nintendo Switch 2 on April 20th.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance Arrives on Xbox Game Pass
Also new to Xbox Game Pass is Kingdom Come: Deliverance, a medieval action-RPG developed by Warhorse Studios. Many consider it one of the best RPGs from 2018. The game puts you in the role of Henry, a blacksmith’s son and apprentice, living in the town of Skalitz. After Cuman soldiers, led by historical figure Sigismund of Luxembourg, attack the town, killing Henry’s parents and stealing his father’s prized sword, Henry escapes and seeks revenge. Originally released for Xbox One, Kingdom Come: Deliverance has recently been updated for Xbox Series X|S and is available on both consoles.
Image via Deep Silver The first Kingdom Come: Deliverance received a somewhat mixed response, as players found its detailed combat system challenging. However, it set the stage for the highly acclaimed 2025 sequel, which was nominated for Game of the Year. While the original game had a smaller world and less polished quests and combat, both games share strong points like realistic characters and a focus on compelling stories. Now, fans of the sequel can experience Henry’s beginnings through Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
