A skilled Pokémon fan has built an amazing 3D map of the Sinnoh region that you can explore right in your web browser. The site has recently become popular on social media, and many Pokémon fans are impressed by how detailed it is.

Over the years, fans around the world have made many maps inspired by Pokemon. Most of these maps, whether built in the real world or created digitally, are flat, two-dimensional designs. However, web developer Jorge Calvo Fernández recently unveiled a much more complex and detailed project.

PokeRegions Is a New Fan Project Featuring a Detailed Map of Sinnoh

In mid-February 2026, Fernández shared his new project, PokeRegions.com, with the large Pokemon community on Reddit. The website currently offers a detailed, interactive 3D map of the Sinnoh region, with plans to include other regions in the future. Users can click on locations on the map to see their names displayed in a card at the top-right of the screen. The project quickly gained popularity on r/Pokemon, receiving thousands of upvotes and positive feedback. Many fans commented that the 3D map and location-specific music brought back fond memories, while others offered ideas for improvements and requested their favorite regions be added to the site.

PokeRegions Includes Several Useful Features on Top of Its Interactive Map

Beyond the interactive map of the Sinnoh region, Fernández’s website lets you customize your experience with a menu in the bottom-right corner. You can control the volume of the background music and even choose different tracks. PokeRegions features the original exploration theme from Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, plus the updated version from the Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl remakes on Nintendo Switch. The menu also has graphics settings – Low, Medium, and High – which seem to adjust the rendering resolution. Right next to that is a simple day/night switch, letting you instantly change between the day and night versions of the Sinnoh map.

PokeRegions has a hidden voting feature on its main screen, before you reach the Sinnoh map. You can get back to this screen by refreshing the page or clicking the ‘Home’ button. There, a small menu in the bottom-right corner lets you vote for which Pokemon region you’d like to see added to the project next. Each person gets three votes to spread across the eight regions that haven’t been included yet. The creator, Fernández, hasn’t said if he plans to add all of them eventually. Currently, the voting system doesn’t use a secure database, which means it could be easily manipulated. As of February 14th, Unova is in the lead with 519 votes, followed by Hoenn (474 votes) and Johto (331 votes). Paldea currently has the fewest votes, with only 62.

PokeRegions was built to work well on many different devices. TopMob tested it on popular desktop browsers like Firefox, Safari, and Edge (which is similar to Chrome), as well as on iPhones using Safari. The website’s simple design automatically adjusts to fit any screen size, and the buttons are large enough to easily tap on a phone. It’s also built as a Progressive Web App, so users can install it like a regular app on their devices. The project uses Next.js, a powerful web development tool built on React, and Three.js to display the 3D map models.
