Where to Find Winter Mandarin Duck in Heartopia

To start looking for the Winter Mandarin Duck, you first need to unlock and upgrade your Birdwatching Hobby to Level 2. Unlike other winter birds that appear anywhere on the map, this duck only shows up during a specific event phase.

To begin the Winter Birdwatching Event, use the Birdwatching device created by Bailey J. This event lets you locate and identify all the winter birds in Heartopia.

The Winter Mandarin Duck isn’t visible right away. You’ll need to wait until the event reaches the Extra Phase Photography stage. That’s when rarer birds, including the Winter Mandarin Duck, start appearing around the Suburban lake.

When you reach this part of the experience, take your time exploring the lake. The duck will appear in the water, so be sure to have your camera ready to take a picture of it. You can easily identify the Winter Mandarin Duck by the bright blue patch on its head.

How to Capture the Winter Mandarin Duck in Heartopia

Spotting the Winter Mandarin Duck is just the first step – getting a great scan is the real challenge. To improve your scan’s star rating, try scanning the duck while it’s moving or from a different viewpoint. Changing its position or finding a better angle will help you get a higher score.
