The Winter Frost Event in Heartopia is known for its beautiful, limited-time creatures, and the Frostspore Postman Butterfly is the latest one to join them. Like other Frostspore insects, it carries the Frostspore infection.
I finally unlocked the Crimson Frostspore Butterfly on Valentine’s Day! It’s super cool – a really bright, red color that makes it stand out from all the other Frostspore butterflies I’ve found. If you’re like me and trying to complete the Winter Insects collection, you’ll definitely want to hunt down this one – it’s the Frostspore Postman Butterfly!
How to Unlock & Catch the Frostspore Postman Butterfly
Okay, so if you want to start looking for these butterflies, the first thing you need to do is go chat with Naniwa. When you talk to him, pick the option that says “Mysterious Frostspore Butterflies.” That kicks off the whole event and makes the butterflies actually start showing up all over the forest!
To easily catch the Frostspore Postman Butterfly, you’ll need to be at least Insect Hobby Level 2 and have equipped the Insect Perfume and Sense Booster tools.
The Frostspore Postman Butterfly doesn’t appear right away. You have to actively take part in the event and catch lots of Frostspore butterflies. This will eventually cause a swarm to appear, working much like how the Frostspore Shark is summoned.
Keep catching butterflies throughout the entire event – don’t stop until the timer runs out. The more butterflies you catch, the quicker the swarm will grow.
Don’t hold down the button to catch insects—tap it quickly instead. This gives you more time to catch them and makes it easier to succeed.
If you start the swarm correctly, you’ll get a message that says: “Looks like a new butterfly has shown up. Please rest and proceed to the Forest Island.” This message begins the Scout phase, which takes place at the Transfer Camp.
As soon as you get this message, go straight to Truffle Island. That’s the only place you can find the Frostspore Portman Butterfly. Keep an eye out for a bright red butterfly with a shimmering, icy glow. Its deep red color makes it stand out from other Winter Frostspore Butterflies, so you shouldn’t have trouble spotting it when it appears.
Once you’ve caught one Frostspore butterfly, keep trying until the event time runs out! You can catch more during the same session, which can lead to even more spawns and a higher score.
While participating in the Frostspore Butterfly Event, you’ll be able to find more than just the Frostspore Postman Butterfly. Keep an eye out for varieties like the Frostspore Mother-of-Pearl and the Frostspore Purple Spotted Swallowtail, among others.
