Devil Fruits are central to the power system in the world of One Piece. Since they were first introduced at the very beginning of the story, Eiichiro Oda has consistently expanded on them, adding increasingly impressive abilities and different types. As One Piece reaches its final arc, it’s no surprise that Oda is now showcasing one incredibly strong ability after another.
During the Elbaf arc, the author, Oda, finally showed fans what Imu’s Devil Fruit power does. Now, he’s revealed the most powerful Devil Fruit ability on the island of Elbaf. This ability belongs to Loki, who can transform into an incredibly large black dragon.
Elbaf’s Strongest Devil Fruit Is Loki’s Dragon Fruit
The National Treasure of Elbaf
The powerful Devil Fruit from Elbaf was hinted at early in the story arc. It had been passed down through the royal family for generations, but Loki stole it. Its abilities were said to be incredibly dangerous, with the potential to destroy not only the country but the whole world. While the exact power remained a mystery, the recent flashback to Elbaf revealed a clearer understanding of what it can do.
Fourteen years ago, Loki consumed a Devil Fruit hoping to stop King Harald from devastating the country and unleashing his immense power – power he gained through a secret pact with Imu. This fruit allowed Loki to transform into a massive creature, giving him the strength to defeat and ultimately kill King Harald. The true abilities of this Devil Fruit were finally shown to fans in One Piece chapter 1174.
Loki possesses an incredibly powerful Devil Fruit that lets him transform into a colossal black dragon – so large that entire countries appear small in comparison. To illustrate just how huge Loki is, even a giant Gear 5 Luffy, who used the island-sized Kaido as a skipping rope, would look like a tiny figure on top of Loki’s head when he’s in dragon form. This immense size means Loki could easily obliterate countries, which is why the people of Elbaf believe he’s capable of destroying the world.
I am the Sun God who will destroy the world! — Loki
This Devil Fruit is a Mythical Zoan type, and it appears to be the Niddhogg Dragon. As a Dragon Devil Fruit, it likely gives Loki immense strength and resilience, similar to Kaido. Beyond that, it also seems to grant him control over lightning. Because he can transform into a western dragon, Loki probably has the ability to breathe fire as well, though that hasn’t been confirmed yet. Either way, this Devil Fruit makes Loki the most powerful being in Elbaf, especially considering Imu seems limited by the body they inhabit and can’t fully use their powers.
Loki’s Devil Fruit Grants World Destroying Powers
Loki Can Easily Destroy The World
Considering Loki’s immense power and scale, it’s no surprise he’s capable of global destruction. He can unleash devastating lightning using his abilities and obliterate an entire island like Elbaf instantly. Even a simple burst of fire from him could wipe out countries in seconds, leaving widespread devastation. Traveling from nation to nation, Loki could ruin the whole world, and realistically, no one could stop him – not even the most powerful pirates, the Four Emperors – except for Shanks.
Loki’s Devil Fruit is incredibly powerful – strong enough to potentially destroy the world. This level of power rivals that of ancient weapons like Uranus, Pluton, and Poseidon, explaining why Imu is so determined to obtain it.
Elbaf’s Nation Treasure Rivals Even Imu In Terms Of Power
Imu Vs Loki Is Finally Coming
Loki’s Devil Fruit is incredibly powerful – potentially enough to challenge even Imu. This fruit has been a treasured heirloom of Elbaf’s royal family for centuries, and it seems someone with this ability fought against Imu and the world’s kings during the Void Century. Imu clearly fears Loki, refusing to risk sending Holy Knights to that country because they’d likely be destroyed, which would make Imu weaker. This shows just how seriously Imu takes Loki’s power.
Allow Mu to show thee the domain of a God! — Imu
There seems to be a strong connection between Imu’s and Loki’s Devil Fruit abilities. Imu’s power is known as the ‘National Treasure’ of Marijoa and was mentioned by Doflamingo during the Dressrosa arc, with hints appearing again during the Reverie arc. Similarly, Loki’s power is called the ‘National Treasure’ of Elbaf. These two abilities appear to be comparable to one another.
Loki’s Devil Fruit Makes Him One Of The Strongest
Chapter 1174 of One Piece really confirms that Loki is among the most powerful characters in the series. The chapter’s title hints at Loki being the strongest, though characters like Imu and Shanks are also incredibly strong. While Shanks defeated Loki six years ago, the details of that fight are still unclear. It’s possible Shanks didn’t fight alone, or that he used a trick to win.
Considering everything we’ve seen, Loki is incredibly powerful – even stronger than Luffy in his Gear 5 form right now. He’s already proven to be more powerful than legendary figures like Rocks D. Xebec and King Harald, as demonstrated in his short battle at Aurust Castle fourteen years ago. Currently, Loki is among the three strongest characters in the One Piece world. As the story continues into the Elbaf Arc, we’ll see even more of his incredible strength and the full potential of his Devil Fruit.
