King Scoober Location in Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined

In Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined, you can find a tablet fragment inside the Coral Cave (Present). To get it, you’ll need to complete a quick quest where you talk to King Scoober for a creature who wants to change form. This guide explains exactly where to find King Scoober, and it’s pretty easy to reach him and claim the Gold Fragment in Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined.

Once you’ve collected all four spirits, you can visit King Scoober. This is a late-game step, so make sure you don’t try to get this Gold Fragment until then.

Talk to the Creature in Coral Cave – Basement Level 1 (Present)

To start the quest, find the merman-like creature in the Coral Cave – Basement Level 1. We’ve marked its exact location on the map above. Talking to it will begin your journey to meet King Scoober.

Go to King Scoober’s Domain

To reach King Scoober, players need to travel to Estard Island and use a boat. Sail a little southeast of the island until you find a whirlpool. Sailing into the whirlpool will take you to King Scoober’s Domain. You’ll find King Scoober sitting on his throne a short distance from where you enter.

Talk to King Scoober Twice

Players now need to speak with King Scoober two times. The first time, the conversation will focus on Buccanham, Anais, and Sharkeye. The second time, players can inform the king about the creature they found in Coral Cave.

Return to Coral Cave – Basement Level 1 (Present)

After finishing the second conversation, go back to the creature in the Coral Cave basement (the present timeline) and tell them Scoober has agreed to meet. They’ll be very happy to hear this and will give you a Gold Fragment before leaving.

Gold Fragments in Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined

Gold Fragments unlock the final area of the game, called Yet Another World, and there are eight to find. Some of these fragments are actually located within Another World, an area you can access after collecting all the Silver Fragments. Visiting both areas isn’t required to finish the game, but they offer a tough challenge for players who want to fully test their hero’s skills in Dragon Quest 7.
