All Heian Crucible Wraiths in Nioh 3

In Nioh 3, Crucible Wraiths are stronger versions of regular enemies. When you defeat them, you get a Soul Core, which is essential for collecting all the Talismans and Summoning Seals in the game.

When you fully explore an area, certain locations are marked on the map, but these aren’t required to earn any trophies or achievements. There are 8 Crucible Wraiths to find in the Heian era, and the Nioh 3 guide below shows exactly where they all are.

All Heian Crucible Wraiths in Nioh 3

Kamo Village

  • Recommended Level: 57

Starting at the Kamo Village Shrine, turn around and walk west, following the Spirit Vein. As you go, you’ll see a One-Eyed Oni and a Crucible Wraith on your left.

  • Recommended Level: 62

At the Horiike pond in Arashiyama Shrine, check your map for some bodies located to the south. A Karasu Tengu enemy will then appear and drop down from above. Defeat it to obtain the collectible.

Once you arrive at the Matsuo-taisha Shrine’s Ascetic Cave, follow the path downwards. At the end, turn right. You’ll see a Tori Gate, but don’t go towards it just yet. Instead, look to the right of the gate for some bamboo. Break the bamboo to create a path and continue forward – you’ll find the Crucible Wraith further in.

Hachijo

  • Recommended Level: 73

Starting at Nishiichi Shrine on Hachijo Island, follow the Spirit Vein straight upwards. Next, climb onto the ruined house you see ahead – a Kappa is standing on top of it, and that’s the Crucible Wraith.

Hachijo

From the Rajomon Gate and Mibu Avenue Shrine, head back and down the ladder. The Crucible Wraith is located close to the plants.

Rokuhara

  • Recommended Level: 77

Start by going up the ladder close to the Yasaka Shrine’s Nishiro Gate and walk straight ahead. Turn left, and you’ll see a pagoda in the distance. Fight off any Yokai as you approach the entrance, but don’t go inside. Instead, turn right and look for the Crucible Wraith near the tree.

Rokuhara

  • Recommended Level: 77

From the Gion Grove Shrine, turn back and jump down. To your right, you’ll see icicles you can break open to reach a One-Eyed Oni.

Palace Grounds

  • Recommended Level: 86

You’ll find the last Crucible Wraith within the Palace Grounds during the story mission, Frozen City, Blazing Tree. Since it’s located inside the Crucible, you’ll need to replay the mission using the Battle Scroll if you didn’t collect it the first time.
