As a seasoned adventurer who has traversed the treacherous depths of Orario’s dungeons more times than I can count, I must say that the state of some of these familias is truly disheartening. Allow me to share my thoughts on three such groups:

Families in the DanMachi series serve as vital structures within Orario, resembling guilds and overseen by deities. Yet, having a god at the helm does not automatically grant a family superior combat skills. Indeed, some families exhibit remarkable power, while others maintain a more modest combat prowess, yet they all contribute significantly to the city’s well-being.

In the world of Orario, families exhibit a diverse range. Some concentrate on battlefield operations and vanquishing monsters, while others dedicate themselves to making Orario an attractive place for adventurers. Not necessarily the most proficient in combat, these families are less focused on physical conflict in the DanMachi series.

7 Demeter Familia

Orario’s Food Source

As a follower of the divine Demeter, I can confidently say that our familia is not small in stature, but rather distinguished by our devotion to agriculture and sustenance over warfare. Few would dare challenge the Demeter Familia, for we are the vital link to nourishment within Orario. Our ranks swell beyond those of even the esteemed Ganesha Familia, yet most of us lack significant combat skills. Instead, we channel our energy into cultivating bountiful harvests and ensuring the continued prosperity of our beloved city.

Among the Demeter Familia are several individuals at levels three and four. However, since most of its members are non-combative, they find themselves lagging behind other prominent families in terms of combat skills.

6 Apollo Familia

A Familia That Chooses Beauty Over Strength

In the city of Orario, the Apollo Family was not particularly powerful or prestigious. However, their standing took a significant blow when they lost a war game against the tiny Hestia Family, which consisted of only a few members at that time, including their deity.

Previously boasting more than 100 members, the Apollo Family, handpicked by the sun deity himself, initially shone brightly. However, it appears that Apollo favored physical beauty over battle prowess, resulting in a majority of level-two adventurers within his family. The exception was their leader, Hyakinthos Clio, who stood out as the sole level three among them.

5 Takemikazuchi Familia

A Haven For Orphans Not Designed For Rivalry

The family in question didn’t arise with the intention of being formidable like Orario’s leading figures, matching the skills of typical adventurers, or even average in strength. Instead, it originated as a refuge for orphans who were cared for by Takemikazuchi, a deity residing in the Far East before eventually settling in Orario.

The Takemikazuchi Group consists of six orphans, all currently at level two. Notably, Mikoto briefly departed from the group to aid the Hestia Group and Bell Cranel during the War Game, and has remained there since. Upon her return, it’s anticipated that she will have advanced to level three, which although not a significant increase, will enhance the power of her familia slightly.

4 Dian Cecht Familia

The Divine Healers Of Orario Don’t Fight, They Heal

In the realm of ancient Irish folklore, Dian Cecht holds the title of the Divine Healer and personal physician to the deities. His remarkable healing abilities have elevated his clan as significant figures within the mythical Labyrinth City of Orario. Yet, their influence doesn’t equate to power in the traditional sense.

The Dian Cecht Family specializes in medical care and concocting healing potions. In the chaotic era of constant wars in Orario, they provided prosthetics for numerous adventurers who suffered limb loss. As a family, many of their members are level two, including their leader, Airmid Teasanare. Known as Orario’s finest healer, Airmid holds a prestigious position as the head doctor. However, her combat skills are often outmatched by most mainstream adventurers in terms of prowess.

3 Miach Familia

A Healing Familia Struggling To Revive

Similar to the Dian Cecht Family, this family is centered around healing. Unfortunately, they have recently endured a massive tragedy. During a regrettable incident, the leader of the Miach Family, Naaza Erisuis, found herself imprisoned in a dungeon where monsters devoured her limbs.

To aid their leader, Miach, our character took on a significant loan to purchase a prosthetic limb from the Dian Cecht family. This financial burden led several members to depart. Now, with merely three level 3 adventurers (including Naaza), the Miach family is not particularly impressive at the moment. However, Naaza is determined to rebuild and strengthen it.

2 Soma Familia

A Focus On Addiction And Chaos Wrecked Them

No matter their intentions, every family, especially those with a penchant for exploration, need a measure of resilience to shield themselves against possible perils and adversaries. Yet, the enterprising Soma Family chose a different path, opting for business ventures rather than focusing on building strength.

Previously, the team’s captain, Zanis Lustra, was a level two adventurer, and a cruel individual who managed to turn every member of his guild into drug addicts, even though they were generally unimportant. Fortunately, Zanis was ousted from his position and has been succeeded by Chandra Ihit. Unfortunately, rebuilding their guild won’t be simple as they are currently more concerned with business matters, albeit in a more legitimate fashion than before.

1 Sobek Familia

The Declining Legacy Of An Egyptian God

Although The Sobek Familia wasn’t historically known as one of the weaker clans, a notable defeat against the iconic families of Zeus and Hera left them struggling to recover. Following this loss, which took place 27 years ago with the Set and Osiris Families as allies, they have yet to regain their footing.

As a devoted admirer, I find myself pondering over the enigmatic figure of Sobek, the Egyptian deity linked with the mighty Nile, fertility, and warriors’ valor. Yet, it seems that our divine lineage is dwindling in the modern era, with only one known relative – Enna, a tour guide who harbors a distinct dislike for her work. This hints at a potential decline or even extinction of Sobek’s family.
