Lands of the Goddesses Walkthrough in Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom

As an old-time Hyrule adventurer with countless hours spent traversing its verdant landscapes and battling its formidable foes, I can confidently say that the “Lands of the Goddesses” is a treasure trove for any aspiring hero.

Once you finish “Still Missing,” you’ll gain access to additional gameplay elements and story missions in “Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom“. The quest line called “Lands of the Goddesses” involves Zelda repairing the massive fissures in Eldin Volcano, Holy Mount Lanayru, and Faron Wetlands. By successfully completing these tasks, she’ll gain approval from the goddesses of Hyrule. This journey will offer insights into the origins of the rifts and the sword-wielder, Link. Similar to the main quest “Searching for Everyone“, you can decide where to tackle first in “Lands of the Goddesses“. If you’re new to “Echoes of Wisdom“, it may be helpful to have some tips and a list of suggested Echoes before proceeding with your adventure.

Where to Go First?

After conversing with the King and obtaining Zelda’s Regal Travel Garb, both “Realms of the Deities” (and “The Quest to Save Hero Link”) will be added to your Adventure Log. As you venture into each region, you’ll discover three narrative missions that must be accomplished for “Realms of the Deities,” similar to the main quest “Finding Everyone.

  • The Rift on Eldin Volcano
  • A Rift in the Faron Wetlands
  • Rift on Holy Mount Lanayru

In simpler terms, Eldin is positioned northwest of Hyrule Castle Town or north of Kakariko Village, while Holy Mount Lanayru lies to the north of Hyrule Castle Town. The Faron Wetlands can be found in the southeast part of Hyrule or east of Suthorn Village. In the game Echoes of Wisdom, there’s no strict order to complete the rifts, but it is suggested that you tackle the Eldin Volcano’s rift first, or at least obtain the Bomb ability in the Eldin Volcano Still World within Swordfighter Mode. It’s best to save Holy Mount Lanayru for last because its challenging climate requires a heat buff (Warm Smoothie), and its puzzles can be more complex than the other two areas.

In the story “Divide at Eldin Volcano,” your task will be to help Darston, chief of the Gorons, find the colossal fissure and rescue any remaining villagers. After conversing with Darston, this objective will appear on your map. Additionally, you’ll gain helpful resources in Eldin, like Fire Keese and Fire Wizzrobe.

In “A Divide in the Faron Swamps,” your mission is to eliminate the mysterious “black thorns” that have sprouted within and around Scrubton, a settlement inhabited by Deku Scrubs. Regrettably, an event in the Faron Swamps will lead Zelda to momentarily lose her gear. Consequently, during this phase, you won’t be able to call for Echoes or use quick-travel capabilities.

Ultimately, scaling the frosty peaks of Mount Lanayru leads you to the rift at the summit. To shield Zelda from harm, you might opt for a Warm Smoothie, or alternatively, leverage Tri’s Bind ability to transport either a Brazier Echo or an Ignizol. However, be aware that the Brazier may fracture due to specific Echoes (like Platboom) or hostile creatures.

Following your successful sealing of the rifts and obtaining all three divine decrees from the goddesses, a cinematic sequence unfolds. In this scene, Zelda regains consciousness within her chamber, marking the conclusion of “Lands of the Goddesses” and initiating “The Prime Energy and Null” quest.

Recommended Echoes and More

In the second part of “Echoes of Wisdom,” it’s a great opportunity to return to Jabul Waters and Gerudo Desert. Here, you might find some fresh quests like “The Zappy Shipwreck” or “Impa’s Gift.” Additionally, you can engage in optional battles with bosses to earn Heart Pieces. Completing “Impa’s Gift” is crucial if you aim to unlock Zelda’s horse. This will enable you to participate in the Flag Races at Hyrule Ranch, which is essential for a side quest involving an automaton (“Performance Artist!”).

Now that Zelda is no longer in trouble, you’ll find the option to customize her wardrobe. There are various costumes available for Zelda, some of which come with unique powers. Moreover, scanning Link, Zelda, and Ganondorf amiibo figures will grant you access to special outfits exclusively.

In addition to your current progress, consider delving into Level 3 Echoes and the Lynel Echo during the “Lands of the Goddesses” phase. The Darknut at Level 3 can be found in a cave to the east of Scrubton; this formidable Echo has the ability to withstand most enemy attacks due to its robustness. The Lynel is one of the game’s strongest Echoes, but summoning it requires gathering six symbols of Tri’s power. You can locate the Lynel by following hoof tracks in the Eternal Forest. Similarly, a Level 3 Lizalfos resides in a cave situated to the north of Heart-Shaped Lake within Faron Wetlands.

You’ll find that minor fissures have appeared in Hyrule as well. These are not mandatory and it’s possible to finish the ‘Echoes of Wisdom’ without addressing them. However, if your goal is to boost Tri’s level significantly and reduce the cost for some of your more powerful Echoes, I recommend taking time to locate and eliminate those fissures in Hyrule.
