How to Get the Onsen Egg Recipe in Heartopia
You can’t learn the Onsen Egg recipe just by playing the game. To unlock it, you need to complete the Winter Frost Egg Hunt by finding and photographing all sixteen cracked eggs hidden around the map. The last egg appears on day 16, and it’s located on Onsen Mountain, under a wooden walkway that overlooks the Old Sea.
After you take a picture of the last broken egg, a quick conversation will start, giving you event items and unlocking the recipe for the Onsen Egg. You can find the recipe in the event menu under the Fashion Activity section – just collect your reward there, and the Onsen Egg recipe will be added to your cooking list forever.
How to Make Onsen Egg in Heartopia
Once you’ve learned the Onsen Egg recipe, you’ll need to gather the ingredients. Luckily, it only requires one thing: a Pasteurized Egg, which you can buy from the vendor Masimo. Be aware that these eggs are quite pricey – 100 gold each – and you can only purchase 50 per day.
Making Onsen Eggs is unique. Instead of using a pot on your stove, you’ll need to go to the hot springs on Onsen Mountain. There, you’ll find special boiling baskets lowered directly into the hot spring pools. These baskets are only for cooking Onsen Eggs – you can’t use them for anything else! To cook one, simply put an egg in a basket and wait for it to finish.
You can also freely move between baskets and prepare multiple eggs at once.
