The Fashionwave Event in Heartopia adds a lot of exciting winter content to the relaxing life simulation game, including new recipes! Players who enjoy cooking will have plenty to do, from making iced drinks and frosted pancakes to complete banquet meals. However, cooking for the Fashionwave event is a bit different than regular cooking in Heartopia, so there’s a learning curve.
Fashionwave Cooking, Explained
The Fashionwave Event features unique seasonal recipes, different from the regular cooking options. These winter-themed dishes become available as you progress through the event’s story and chat with characters.
Fashionwave cooking has a unique feature: every recipe requires the Penguin Stove to be used. You won’t even see a recipe option unless you’re at that specific stove, even if you have all the ingredients.
How to Unlock the Penguin Stove
You’ll unlock the Penguin Stove by playing through the Aurora Banquet questline. It’s not available right away when the event starts. You’ll need to complete several Fashionwave quests first, specifically until the story focuses on cooking.
You’ll now need to talk to Massimo, who’s standing by his bistro right across from the ice rink. He’ll tell you he’s having trouble getting ready to make winter food for the festival.
Talk to Massimo again – he’ll share the Fashionwave recipes and the plans for building a Penguin Stove. You’ll need one Penguin Token, ten Wood, and eight Stone to craft it. Once built, you can put the Penguin Stove in your house just like any other cooking appliance. Keep in mind that you can only cook Fashionwave dishes on it, with the exception of the Onsen Egg.
If you’re not ready to build your own cooking station right away, you can use the Penguin Stoves available at Massimo’s bistro near the ice rink. They work just like your personal stove and let you cook everything you need for quests. This helps you save valuable resources for later on.

You’ll be able to get White Radish seeds from Blanc as you progress through the event. They’re fast-growing – they only take fifteen minutes to mature – making them a simple crop to farm.

How to Unlock & Cook Onsen Egg Recipe
Unlike most recipes which are cooked on a stove, making an Onsen Egg is different. Once you’ve collected enough Onsen Eggs and bought Pasteurized eggs from Masimo, you can cook one simply by going to the Hot Springs area on Onsen Mountain.
