Metaphor: ReFantazio Director Katsura Hashino Next Project in the Works

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades under my belt, I can confidently say that Katsura Hashino’s next project has me on the edge of my seat. His knack for crafting immersive RPG worlds is unparalleled, and his dedication to ensuring both player and company satisfaction is commendable. It’s not often we come across developers who think beyond their individual success and prioritize the collective well-being of their team and fans alike.

Although ReFantazio RPG, directed by Katsura Hashino, debuted recently this month, he hasn’t slowed down a bit; in fact, the team is actively engaged in their subsequent endeavor.

Metaphor: ReFantazio Director Katsura Hashino Is Already Working on His Next Game

According to Hashino himself, during an interview with Famitsu (translated by Genki), he revealed that he has already begun working on a new project following Metaphor. When asked about his future plans, Hashino shared that instead of thinking individually, he considers Atlus as a whole and focuses on what’s best for the team at this moment. His primary goal is to make users happy, and in turn, he hopes that Atlus will also be content with the outcome. This is how he consistently approaches his work.

As a dedicated gamer, I can confidently say that, given the track record of game developer Hashino, it’s likely we’re in for another role-playing game (RPG). Frankly, I don’t think fans are grumbling about that prospect at all!

In the same conversation with a Japanese magazine, Hashino also admitted that he avoids user feedback on his games because it’s detrimental to his mental wellbeing. However, it’s unlikely that we’ll learn about this upcoming project anytime soon. Instead, players should immerse themselves in the world of Euchronia (United Kingdom), and if they require assistance, there are numerous guides available to assist them on their journey.
