If Morris actually existed, where did he end up? Following Lewis’s apparent suicide witnessed by Skye, she began receiving enigmatic messages from an unknown individual. This person turned out to be a man named Morris, who is neither a detective, a disturbing stalker, nor a figment of imagination. Instead, his brother perished due to a curse and now he aims to put an end to it.

In the end, Morris guides Skye into a freezer with the intention of deceiving her with drugs, making it seem like he’s killing her to trick the curse. It may sound absurd to think humans can outsmart a horror movie curse, but Morris is attempting something. If this scenario unfolds, we’re left wondering where Morris went. He claims he needs to step away to get something, and then Skye encounters herself being attacked. It’s unclear if Morris was fictional or if he genuinely left to retrieve something and discovered Skye unconscious when he returned.

It’s strange how much Darius has invested in Skye, as there seems to be an undercurrent of suspicious or mob-like connotations surrounding his involvement. Since this incident occurred in front of hundreds, if not thousands, of spectators, is it possible that they’ve all been affected now? Could the upcoming film Smile 3 depict something akin to a nationwide viral outbreak, where people are committing suicide across the United States?

Elevating this horror series could make it exceptionally chilling and engaging, or it might veer into the strange, akin to _The Happening_, where people are driven to suicide by nature’s commands. In isolation, that premise may sound peculiar, but even in _The Happening_, it doesn’t escape being odd.
