Essentially, Maximum Action delivers on its name, focusing entirely on high-octane action; there’s no narrative or developed characters here, just the player tearing through adversaries in dramatic slow-motion while employing a range of weapons.

One of them is Blood, and CULTIC enhances this experience; the strategic use of dynamite scattered across the game is crucial for tackling CULTIC’s obstacles, and it’s a blast compared to any regular grenade. The dynamite is one of numerous weapons in an arsenal packed with powerful, heavy-hitting tools, including the lever-action rifle, Sten submachine gun, and even the unique China Lake grenade launcher. Each weapon in CULTIC has its own advantages and disadvantages, and they’re all brought to life through detailed pixel art and smooth animations.
