Fields of Mistria Reveals New Tools, Items, and Mechanics Arriving In Update 4

The indie farming game Fields of Mistria recently announced significant changes coming in its next big update. Launched in August 2024 as an Early Access game, Fields of Mistria has been consistently improved with regular updates from developer NPC Studio. The full version 1.0 release is currently planned for 2026.

Fields of Mistria is a large-scale farming simulator heavily inspired by Stardew Valley and is quickly gaining popularity. While it shares similarities with classic games in the genre, Mistria distinguishes itself by emphasizing community building. Players contribute to the town’s development – upgrading places like the pub and general store – by fulfilling requests from residents. These requests not only improve Mistria itself but also raise its reputation among neighboring towns, unlocking rewards and further upgrades.

Fields of Mistria’s Fourth Major Update Includes Brand-New Mechanics and Items

On February 23rd, Fields of Mistria will receive a major update adding lots of new items, tools, and gameplay features. The Fields of Mistria Twitter account has been sharing short videos showing off these additions. One particularly requested feature is an auto feeder, which automatically processes edible items into animal feed. Once players reach Ranching level 45, they’ll no longer need to manually feed their animals or refill feeding bins in barns and coops.

The game Fields of Mistria recently added apiaries and terrariums as part of its Early Access updates. Players need to improve their town’s rank to unlock these features. They can then fill them with animals and items to create new products like honey and fish bait. The game’s Twitter also revealed a new ‘lost and found’ feature, where dropped items will be collected and stored in a bin at Town Hall every Monday. This bin might even contain items the player hasn’t found themselves.

This update, initially known as “The Mines Update,” is just a part of the larger plan for Fields of Mistria in 2026. It finishes the game’s mine questline, letting players explore the deepest, most dangerous parts of the mines and discover their hidden secrets. Players can also look forward to new skills, ways to customize their characters, and a new character they can romance.
