Overwatch Prestige Pass Guide & Rewards

Now simply called Overwatch, the game has seen a surge in both new and returning players after removing the ‘2’ from its name. Blizzard has added five new heroes, a new story called Reign of Talon, and brought back the popular Loverwatch event, giving players plenty to explore and earn. Conquest, a completely new type of in-game event for Overwatch, is just one of the many additions, offering free rewards for completing challenges.

The recent Talon x Overwatch event had some technical issues, making it difficult for players to finish challenges and get their rewards. To make things right, Blizzard gave all qualifying players the rewards from both sides of the event, plus two Prestige Passes. If you’re wondering what those passes are and how they work, this guide will explain it all.

What is a Prestige Pass in Overwatch?

S1: Conquest

The Talon x Overwatch event is a five-week challenge where players choose to side with either Talon or Overwatch. By completing daily and weekly challenges, players earn Notoriety Points and unlock exclusive rewards like player icons, voice lines, and weapon charms – similar to how a Battle Pass works, with rewards earned step-by-step.

After finishing a Faction Pass and collecting all the rewards, you can either switch to a new faction to earn their rewards, or continue with your current faction and unlock its Prestige Pass. The Prestige Pass is just the next set of rewards for staying loyal to your faction, and it includes four standard loot boxes plus one rarer, epic or legendary loot box.

Basically, when Blizzard mentions giving players two Prestige Passes, they simply mean they’re giving away free loot boxes.

If you’ve already unlocked the first rewards in either the Talon or Overwatch Prestige Pass and continued playing with that same team, you’re probably now working on your first natural progression through the Pass.

All Compensation Rewards Granted in Overwatch

Players who finished at least one challenge during the first week of the Talon x Overwatch event will get compensation rewards. If you also earned loot boxes from last week’s Prestige Pass, you’ll receive those plus the new compensation loot boxes. Please allow a few days for the rewards to appear in your account.

In total, the eligible players will receive the following rewards:

  • 12 Base Loot Boxes
  • 1 Epic Loot Box
  • 1 Legendary Loot Box
  • 2 Voice Lines (Sojourn, Emre)
  • 2 Common Titles (Overwatch, Talon)
  • 1 Weapon Charm (Overwatch)
  • 1 Namecard (Emre)

Blizzard announced that they’re making it easier to earn Legendary Faction Titles in Overwatch. Because players couldn’t change their selections during recent server issues, they’re reducing the requirements for completing passes. This update will be included in the next mid-season patch.

The latest update for Overwatch, called Conquest, includes a massive number of changes. If you haven’t played in a while, it’s a great time to give the game another try!
