
Paranormasight: The Mermaid’s Curse, created by Square Enix, is a visual novel where you play as a detective who knows everything – and the game frequently acknowledges that you’re playing it. It’s a complex experience, living up to that description in every way.
The game keeps players engaged with lots of puzzles and challenges that require careful observation. These challenges become much harder as you get closer to the end of the story and the final chapters.
A key moment in the chapter “We Need a Plan,” starring Yuza Minakuchi, requires players to remember everything that’s happened in the story, figure out the current problem, and create a plan that will change the game’s ending. Formulating the Right Plan at Kantekisho Ruins

The chapter, “We Need a Plan,” starts with Yuza, Sato, Azami, and Tsukasa talking at the Kantekisho Ruins. Just follow the conversation as it unfolds until Sodo shows up. Once he does, the group learns who Ikoma really is and begins to make a plan to defeat him.
After you reach the area beyond Kantekisho Ruins, with a view of the mountains, you’ll begin planning how to stop Ikoma – actually, it’s Taira no Togoshime you need to deal with.
The key to a successful plan is keeping the team small – only include people who are essential. Adding unnecessary members will likely waste time and ultimately lead to failure.
Togoshime is holding Sato hostage and threatening to harm everyone on Kameshima Island who has his business card – a card marked with a symbol that allows him to use a dangerous curse. Your goal is to find a way to stop this curse and save both Sato and the island’s population.
Because it’s no longer practical to gather the curse cards by hand, we need to concentrate solely on characters with psychic abilities to find a supernatural solution. That means we only need Sodo and Circe.
Each character has three unique skills, which you can view by checking their profile in the main menu. To win, you’ll need to use these skills together. When you’re choosing a plan, select the following:
- Select Circe with Shikigami: This is her ability to transform a piece of paper into a butterfly.
- Select Sodo with Feast of Shadows: This skill amplifies Circe’s psychic power, allowing for its effect to reach practically the entire Kamashima island.
If you choose this option, Circe will magically turn all the curse cards (Tomoshige’s business cards) into beautiful butterflies, saving everyone on the island! Congratulations – you’ve unlocked the next chapter, Conclusion, and are now heading towards the end of the game.
