As a seasoned Metaphor: ReFantazio player who’s navigated the treacherous waters of the Sea Horror Homo Sabra and braved the depths of Virga Island, I can’t help but share my thoughts on this delightful side quest – “A Guiding Gift.
After battling the fearsome Sea Horror Homo Sabra out at sea, ReFantazio players will embark on a new journey and arrive at Virga Island, home of the Mustari Tribe. Before they set out to rescue Princess Eupha in the Dragon Temple, players will encounter a villager with a task for them. The task itself is simple, but locating the required Polar Stones can prove challenging since their positions are not indicated.
Here’s some guidance for those facing difficulties: You’ll find the locations of the three Polar Stones within ‘Metaphor: ReFantazio’. Completing this side mission offers exciting rewards.
The task must be finished by August 30th; otherwise, participants won’t be able to finish it and will forfeit the chance to earn the “Help Anyone in Need” Trophy/Achievement.
A Guiding Gift Quest Walkthrough In Metaphor: ReFantazio
On Virga Island, you’ll encounter the Hoarse Fisher-Crone close to the Inn Well prior to your journey to the Dragon Temple. She’ll share that she misplaced three Polar Stones and is in need of one of them to craft a doll.
If you manage to collect all three items, she’ll provide additional incentives for your hard work. Navigate your Gauntlet Runner towards Dragon Temple initially, then confront Alento Boss, who resides at the temple’s beginning.
Upon entering the temple, make a beeline straight ahead to locate the first Polar Stone, which is nestled among some debris on your right side.
To locate the second Polar Stone, continue deeper into the temple and make your way to the Labyrinthine Path. Follow the path on the left side until you spot it resting atop the stone railing.
As a fan, I’m here to guide you! The final stone you seek is nestled within the same chamber. To find it, follow the trail until you reach the center point marked on your map. Right before descending the stairs leading to the main hall, there are two paths branching off. The path on the left houses the third Polar Stone, snuggling up next to some stone Gargoyle statues that remain motionless.
Should you find yourself moving in the incorrect direction, a dark fog will gradually veil your display. In such an event, swiftly reverse course; or else, you’ll be returned to the location where you recently engaged with the last mural.

After gathering all the Polar Stones, make your way back to the Hoarse Fisher-Crone. She’ll reward you for your efforts.
