Digital Eclipse announces: “Tetris Time Warp is a fresh, single and multiplayer game that takes players on a thrilling journey through various versions of Tetris games spanning different eras. Each game features unique graphics and rules. Engage in local multiplayer with friends, manipulate, rotate, and place your Tetriminos to emerge victorious.

Players starting Tetris Time Warp will begin their journey in contemporary Tetris. However, there’s a catch: When they encounter the mysterious Time Warp Tetrimino, they’ll be transported to a past era of the iconic game, celebrating its 40-year evolution! They’ll need to adapt and play according to the rules of “1984” (based on the original Tetris on the Soviet Electronika 60), “1989” (characteristic of the black-and-white handheld era), or “1993” (inspired by the fast-paced Bombliss series). In multiplayer, challenge up to four friends in a dynamic competition as you all simultaneously jump between the different eras of Tetris!
Today, a trailer featuring a conversation between lead designer and programmer of Tetris Time Warp, Jason Cirillo, and studio head Mike Mika from Digital Eclipse was released. They discuss the origins of Tetris Time Warp’s unique time-traveling gameplay mechanics and offer glimpses into its various single player and multiplayer modes.
