As a seasoned gamer with decades of experience under my belt, I must say that the US video game sales data for September 2024 has me both thrilled and intrigued. EA Sports FC 25 topping the list is no surprise, given the consistent popularity of their sports titles. However, the appearance of Astro Bot as a close second on a PlayStation-exclusive list is a refreshing change.
For the sales data of video games in the United States during September 2024, EA Sports FC 25 has emerged as the top seller, according to recent figures from Circana.
The PlayStation 5-exclusive Astro Bot finished second.
For three consecutive months, a title from EA Sports has been the top-selling game. Madden NFL 25 held the number one spot in August, while College Football 25 was the best-seller in July.
Among the fresh games on the list, seven of them entered the top 20 ranking. These newcomers are Astro Bot, The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, NBA 2K25, NHL 25, Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics, and Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2.
As a gamer, I’m always on the lookout for fresh titles to play, and it seems like four old favorites have made their way back into my radar! Dead Rising, Final Fantasy 16, God of War: Ragnarök, and Age of Mythology are all back in the top 20. Unfortunately, some games from August didn’t manage to hold on, with Helldivers 2, Mario Kart 8, MLB: The Show 24, and Gran Turismo 7 being among those that fell off the list for this month.
