As a seasoned gamer with years of slaying beasts under my belt, I can hardly contain my excitement for Capcom’s upcoming masterpiece, “Monster Hunter Wilds”. Though we’ve got a bit of a wait till February 2025, the Open Beta event is here to whet our appetite!

In simple terms, the next big game from Capcom in the Monster Hunter series, called “Monster Hunter Wilds,” won’t hit the shelves until February 2025. But if you want to give it a test run before making a purchase, you can do that! The Open Beta event is starting this month.

What’s the Schedule for Monster Hunter Wild’s Open Beta?

PS5 Schedule:

  • PlayStation Plus Early Acces: October 28 at 8 pm PT/11 pm ET to October 30 at 7:59 pm PT/10:59 pm ET
  • Non-PlayStation Plus Subscribers: October 31 at 8 pm PT/11 pm ET to November 3 at 6:59 pm PT/9:59 pm ET

Xbox Series X| Schedule:

  • October 31 at 8 pm PT/11 pm ET to November 3 at 6:59 pm PT/9:59 pm ET

Steam Schedule:

  • October 31 at 8 pm PT/11 pm ET to November 3 at 6:59 pm PT/9:59 pm ET

Note that Game Pass Core or Ultimate subscription is not required for Open Beta access for Xbox.

According to Capcom’s recent press announcement, the Open Beta will allow cross-platform play among all three versions. Additionally, participants will receive a unique Pendant to adorn their weapons as a special bonus, and they’ll also get an assistive item pack. This item pack will be accessible in the final version of the game too.

During the Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta, you’ll have three unique experiences:

Back in December of the previous year at The Game Awards, it was announced that Monster Hunter Rise would be released on February 28, 2021 for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. In comparison to other games in the Monster Hunter series, Rise has had a longer development period, which Capcom has acknowledged as well.
