After completing the first two missions in High on Life 2 – dealing with Senator Muppy Doo and Billionaire Larry Pinkstock – you can choose to have dinner with your mom or go after your next target, James Stevenson. If you choose to hunt down Stevenson, or if you’ve already saved your dad from the Ego Chamber after having dinner with your mom, you’ll find a guard blocking the elevator that normally leads to Stevenson’s penthouse.
To reach the penthouse in High on Life 2, you’ll need to skateboard up the outside of the building and complete some challenging trick shots. There are also a few puzzles blocking your way, so here’s a guide to finding an alternate route to the top.
High on Life 2: How to Find a Different Way Up to the Penthouse

Okay, so to start this bounty, I went to Circuit Arcadia, downtown, and let my Info Scanner guide me to this apartment building. The security guard wouldn’t let me in, which was annoying, but I just went outside and turned left. That’s when I spotted this moving truck for ‘Slime Drive Mattress & Other Stuff Movers’. I remembered Travis’s Trick Shot, so I used that to lift the truck up! Then, I bounced on the mattress that fell off to get up to the ledge above. From there, it was pretty straightforward – I just followed my Info Scanner, using my skateboard to hit the ramps and grind rails all the way up to the rooftop gardens.

In the first garden, jump onto the see-through red platform between the two benches in the middle to reach the ledge. Then, press the red button on the control panel to activate the sprinklers. You can grind on these sprinklers to get over the wall and move into the next area.
As you move forward, you’ll find a glowing blue bulb. Shoot it to extend the platform created by the nearby fan plants. Then, jump onto one of the fans to launch yourself over the edge and into the next section.
Now, shoot the plant bulb directly at the back wall. Once you reach the fan plant you activated, turn around and locate a circular vent with a spinning blade. Use Sweezy’s Trick Shot – similar to how you obtained the Vet Building keycard – to slow the blade and allow you to jump through. Drop through the opening at the back of the room, turn around, and press the red button to activate the sprinklers and unlock the door leading back to the garden.
As you leave the door, you’ll see another plant bulb you can shoot. Jump onto the fan, then to the ledge, and follow the path around to the sprinkler. A red button has just appeared. Use the sprinkler to cross the gap to the next ledge, which begins a tunnel section leading to a large terrarium. Here, shoot several plant bulbs and use the fan platforms to reach the top. After more skateboarding, grinding, and using the sprinklers, you’ll enter a new area.

As you enter, you’ll see a doorway to the left at the top of the stairs, but it’s blocked by a large fan plant. To clear the way, look up and to the left to shoot a bulb hanging above the plant. Once you’re through the doorway, press the red button on your right to activate the sprinklers. Then, turn around and enter the room with orange slime covering the floor.
Now, grab the Luglox on the left side of the room and use it to jump up to the ledge behind you. Don’t forget to use Sweezy’s Trick Shot to inflate the Luglox first, so it’s bouncy enough. Once you’re on the ledge, use Sweezy’s ability again to slow down the blades of the vent up there.
First, jump onto the plant in front of you, then to the ledge above. Grind along the sprinklers to reach a platform with another plant bulb. Shoot the bulb to activate a fan plant and jump onto it. Looking up, you’ll see a thin red and black strip. Use Gus’ Trick Shot on this strip to create a platform, allowing you to reach the next ledge.

You’ve now reached the last puzzle area. Begin by using Sweezy’s Trick Shot on the vent to your right. Grab the Luglox inside, then place it to the left of the vent. Use Sweezy’s Trick Shot again to inflate the Luglox and send it up into the passageway. Inside, you’ll find a plant bulb on a lower level, but you can shoot it from where you are without going down there.
The bulb you scanned shows where you can launch Sheath’s spikes. Start by firing a spike at the lower level of the area beneath where you began. Then, connect that first spot to the two amplifiers on the brightly colored, three-tiered tower in the center. Make sure to hit the bottom two tiers of the tower so they point towards the side where you put the Luglox.
After connecting the two amplifiers on the tower, link them to the Luglox to finish the connection. If anything is blocking the spikes’ path to the Luglox, make sure to remove it. The spikes need a clear route from their starting point to the Luglox and the final spike location you found earlier with the plant bulb.
You’ll find an opening beneath the last spike. Pressing the red button inside will activate two sprinklers you can use to reach the next platform. Be sure to grab the Luglox on the small platform directly in front of the sprinklers. After that, simply jump up to the outside of the Finance Wiz’s penthouse.
How to Enter James Stevenson’s Penthouse in High on Life 2
Okay, so I got to the penthouse door and Lizzie was all, ‘Watch out, this place probably has crazy security!’ Turns out, it’s super easy. I could just shoot the doors down, open them normally, or even use Knifey’s grapple to swing up and break through the glass above the entrance. Seriously, that was way simpler than I expected!
How you get there isn’t important, just that you’re inside. Now, instead of focusing on bounties, you’ll need to look for clues to find James Stevenson in High on Life 2 to continue the main story.
