High on Life 2 Ball Gun Locations Guide

The B.A.L.L. Gun in High on Life 2 is unique because it’s the only weapon you don’t automatically get by progressing through the story. It originally appeared in the High on Knife DLC for the first High on Life game, and to unlock it this time, you need to find three hidden B.A.L.L. Guys in the Circuit Arcadia, Circuit Arcadia Zoo, and Pinkline Harbor areas.

The B.A.L.L. Gun is a really enjoyable weapon and well worth acquiring. It’s designed like a pinball machine, shooting tiny balls that return to you, and bumpers will appear around the game world as you play. To unlock it, you first need to advance the main story until you complete the James Stevenson bounty mission and receive Bowie. Once you’ve done that, here’s a guide on how to get the B.A.L.L. Gun in High on Life 2.

High on Life 2 B.A.L.L. Guy locations

You might have noticed the empty gun mount on top of a tank in your living space. If not, it’s to the right of the fridge displaying your bounty poster. If you try to use it, you’ll see the gun is just a shell and doesn’t work yet. You need to find three B.A.L.L. Guys to make it functional, but you can find them in any order as long as you’ve first unlocked Bowie.

With that in mind, here’s how to get all three B.A.L.L. Guys in High on Life 2:

High on Life B.A.L.L. Guy location 1: Circuit Arcadia

Begin your search in Circuit Arcadia, Downtown, at the central fast travel point. Go north and up to the next level until you see a man standing near a damaged taxi. That’s Clutch, and he needs your help! His vehicle is broken, so he wants you to deliver five customers to their destinations quickly.

The game is similar to Crazy Taxi: you drive around the city looking for people who are signaling for a ride. Your goal is to take them where they need to go before time runs out. If you’re too slow, they… well, let’s just say it’s not good. We accidentally let that happen once, but it didn’t stop us from completing the mission. Just try not to fail too often!

If you’re trying to unlock all the achievements, you’ll need to let a customer die to get the ‘Fare Thee Well’ achievement. Once they’ve passed, put their body in your Taxiball and drive to one of the green cubicles – either the one slightly north of Clutch or the one to his left. Then, believe it or not, flush the body down the toilet to complete the achievement.

After completing five taxi rides, go back to Clutch. He’ll give you a final mission: deliver a man named Guy to Rhea Pharmaceuticals. You have plenty of time to complete this delivery, and once you do, he’ll reward you with one of the three blue characters you’re collecting.

High on Life B.A.L.L. Guy location 2: Pinkline Harbor

You can find the next item inside Liquid Nights, the nightclub in Pinkline Harbor. However, you’ll first need to unlock Bowie. Once you have, use his Trick Shot ability on the door to get to the area just outside the club, and then defeat the enemies that attack you there.

Once those people are taken care of, the bouncer will allow you to enter. Look for The B.A.L.L. Guy – he’s standing at the counter in front of the DJ. When you come in, turn slightly to the right and walk across the dance floor to reach him.

Before you can get the blue collectible, you’ll first have to play a short rhythm game. It’s similar to Dance Dance Revolution, but instead of stepping on a pad, you’ll press buttons when prompted. We’re not sure how well you need to do to succeed, but we scored over 200,000 and passed.

If your moves are slick enough, you’ll be given your B.A.L.L. Guy as a reward.

High on Life B.A.L.L. Guy location 3: Circuit Arcadia Zoo

You can find the B.A.L.L. Guy at Circuit Arcadia Zoo, but you’ll need a fishing rod before you go. To get one, head to the beach at Pinkline Harbor, where you’ll see the Pinkline Panacea cruise ship.

So, this fisherman I met was super bummed – his boat went down and he needed a hand getting it back! Luckily, I remembered Travis’ Trick Shot ability – that talkative gun from the Larry Pinkstock case. I used it to help him out, and as a thank you, he finally gave me the fishing rod – it’s called ‘Rod,’ which is a pretty clever name, honestly!

Now, bring Rod to the southeast corner of the Circuit Arcadia Zoo. There’s a fishing spot there with eight different kinds of fish to catch, including a B.A.L.L. Guy. You can tell which fish you haven’t caught yet because they’ll have a sparkle above them.

Okay, so if you want the ‘Tanks for the Memories’ achievement, you need to catch all 37 different fish and fill up the aquarium in my quarters – it’s right across from where I fast travel to missions. There are a bunch of fishing spots, and one of them is at the Circuit Arcadia Zoo. Actually, there are eight spots total: two more in the zoo itself, three down on Pinkline Harbor beach, and two more around Circuit Arcadia, Downtown. The game helpfully marks these areas on my map with little dolphin icons when I get close, so it’s not too hard to find them all.

You’ll see buttons on the bottom-right of your screen that you’ll use to cast your line and reel in fish. When a fish is almost caught, quickly press the button shown on screen, then try to keep the dolphin icon inside the green circle that appears. Keep practicing until you catch another B.A.L.L. Guy!

After collecting all three blue robots, go back to the tank by the fridge in your living area to assemble your extra weapon. Doing so will also unlock the ‘B.A.L.L. in the Family’ achievement.
