Quickly becoming essential to the undead hordes, Manglers are a tough mini-boss that will certainly cause new players and veterans a hard time. However, it’s now time to fight fire with fire, as players can become a Mangler in Black Ops 6 Zombies.
A Mangler could be somewhat sluggish and its cannon might offer an easily exploitable vulnerability. However, gamers transforming into this undead creature won’t need to fret about these issues because they’ll be preoccupied with using their newly acquired strength to squash any zombie that attempts to obstruct the advancement of high rounds.
How to Become a Mangler in Black Ops 6 Zombies
To get an authentic feel of playing as a Mangler in Call of Duty Zombies, players should aim for the Support Scorestreak, specifically the Mutant Injection. This elusive item is often obtained by defeating Manglers and can be found nearby along with other valuable items such as armor plating and ammo. Here are some methods to secure a Mutant Infection:
- Killing Manglers
- Completing S.A.M. Challenges
- Opening safety deposit boxes in the bank vault in Liberty Falls
Players also have an option to advance to Level 39. Once they do, they can proceed to any Crafting Station across the map, navigate to the Support section, and buy a Mutant Injection at a cost of 2,500 Salvage.
How to Use the Mangler in Black Ops 6 Zombies
Temporarily transforms you into a Mangler… with all the bells and whistles.
After obtaining the Mutant Injection, players might wonder what effects this peculiar syringe holds. With the Mutant Injection, players can metamorphose into relentless Manglers. Once they opt to use it by pressing Down on the D-Pad or 3 on the keyboard, they will become invincible and start their transformation process.
In this phase, players shift to a third-person camera view, assuming the appearance and armament of a Mangler character. While in this state, they are invulnerable to damage and have a countdown timer displayed at the bottom left corner, signaling how much time remains before they revert back to their original form. Fear not about the onslaught of zombies during the transformation into a regular survivor, as an explosive blast will clear the horde, giving players ample time to stabilize themselves again.
In the Mangler game setting, players will be equipped with an endless-ammo Mangler Cannon that can either lock onto particular enemies or blast through crowds by pressing and releasing R2/RT/Left-Click. The Mangler Cannon’s burst is powerful enough to penetrate numerous zombies simultaneously, rewarding the player with 50 Essence for each kill. Players can also sprint (L3/Shift) towards zombies, with the Mangler’s size and speed causing it to crush zombies like a fast-moving train. The Mutant Injection is most effective in tight spots or when players are under attack, as it offers temporary invincibility against damage and allows for dealing damage during its usage. However, it should be noted that the Mutant Injection is not ideal for combating other Manglers and Abominations.
