With a swift teleport, I’d materialize at their destination, delivering a crushing blow as I descended upon them.
This skill can function similarly to a cannonball, blasting through an enemy’s line to hit the target while also allowing access to higher and more distant areas that might otherwise be inaccessible. However, it’s important to note that this ability is effective only against enemies known as Black Arms. So, when you spot one, it essentially signals “Use Chaos Blast to discover a hidden pathway.

After defeating Biolizard and acquiring the Doom Gear from it, you will unlock Doom Surf. This mode becomes active when Shadow comes into contact with water, spawning a Black Arms Manta Ray for riding across the water’s surface. Pressing the boost button propels Shadow forward at high speed, while pressing the left and right bumpers causes him to spin, which can inflict damage on enemies and obstacles.

In this shape, by pressing the boost button, Shadow can dash rapidly in a forward direction, dealing damage to enemies.
After undergoing transformation, pressing the Homing Attack button causes Shadow to cling onto a Morph Ball and be pulled towards it. Continuously holding down the Homing Attack button allows him to latch on and swing from the Morph Ball in an arcing motion. By strategically using these actions, Shadow can accumulate impressive speed and soar high into the air or traverse long distances.
How to Use Doom Wing in Sonic X Shadow Generations
In Space Colony Ark on your initial visit, you can first utilize Shadow’s ultimate ability, Doom Wing. This power is activated by simultaneously pressing both bumpers when Shadow carries 50 rings or more. Once activated, Shadow grows wings and can glide swiftly through the air by holding down the boost button. During this flight, Shadow won’t lose altitude and can maintain his glide as long as he has Boost Gauge left.
With the Doom Wing active, Shadow effectively becomes invulnerable to damage (except for falling into bottomless pits), making him play similar to Super Sonic. Properly utilizing the Doom Wing enables Shadow to traverse shortcuts and paths that would normally be inaccessible, and this is particularly useful when moving through expansive areas like Radical Highway where there’s ample space for gliding.
