External Detonation Stage Guide In Arknights Endfield (Delver of the Cryptic Event)

External Detonation is one of nine challenge areas in Arknights Endfield, known as Delver of the Cryptic events. Each area within External Detonation has unique puzzles and mechanics. To earn rewards, players must complete all the puzzles and find all the chests hidden within the External Detonation stage in Arknights Endfield.

External Detonation Puzzle and Chest Guide in Arknights Endfield

The External Detonation puzzle isn’t too difficult. All you have to do is find the switches and either shoot them or throw explosives at them.

The switch is right at the beginning of the area. Just attack it to unlock the door.

The second area can be a bit challenging. There’s a platform that moves, and a switch in the center. You’ll need to hit the switch at just the right moment to stop the platform and use it to cross to the other side. Before moving on, don’t forget to check the back corner for a chest!

Once you’ve opened the first chest triggered by an external explosion, halt the platform’s movement and use it to reach the next section.

Ahead, a gate blocks your path. There are two switches beside it that you can reach – you can either try to interact with them directly, or use the explosive barrel nearby.

Okay, so in the second puzzle area, you’ll run into a gate that needs four switches to unlock. I figured out you need to find a platform that lowers when you stand on it – it’s right in the middle, and it lets you mess with an explosive barrel. There are two switches on each side of the area, so you’ll need to find all four to get the gate open!

Destroying all four switches will unlock the path forward for your character.

To get to the final puzzle, you’ll need to open a locked gate by flipping three switches nearby. Two of the switches move around, so time your throws carefully to hit them with your explosives. The third switch is hidden, so try looking at it from different angles if you can’t find it.

Make sure to hit one more switch on the far right to open a gate hiding a chest behind it.

Doing so unlocks the second External Detonation chest in Arknights: Endfield.

The final chest is in the middle of the area, surrounded by three platforms. One of these platforms moves, and you’ll need to use that moving platform to reach the end.

First, flip the switch nearby to start the platform moving. Let it swing back and forth, and then hit the switch again when it reaches the center to stop it. Once it’s still, wait for the platform to move close enough so you can use both platforms to cross over and claim the final External Detonation puzzle chest in Arknights: Endfield.

To clear the third platform, use the barrel nearby. This time, carefully aim at the switch instead of directly hitting it. Aligning both platforms correctly will allow you to cross to the end of the External Detonation stage in Arknights: Endfield.
