As a seasoned adventurer who’s braved countless treacherous terrains and faced formidable foes, I can confidently say that Windblown has become one of my favorite games to play with friends. The journey through the Vortex, filled with strange robotic enemies and stone obstacles, is a challenge that requires teamwork and perseverance.
In Windblown, players assume the part of their preferred animal character and battle against peculiar, sentient robotic and rock-like adversaries in the Vortex. The journey can be challenging, often necessitating multiple attempts before meeting other characters or encountering tougher enemies. Yet, Windblown offers a cooperative play mode where players can team up to conquer these foes. However, this multiplayer feature isn’t immediately accessible at the start of the game. Instead, it becomes available as you progress through your adventure.
Swiftly, the multiplayer mode becomes accessible once you initiate your search for fellow survivors within the Vortex. This process may require some time, but with a touch of persistence, you’ll encounter the character essential to your progress and embark on adventures alongside various animal companions. After numerous unsuccessful attempts, you’ll grow to truly enjoy playing alongside these friends. How to Play Multiplayer in Windblown
To find your way, search for a character called Pietro, who’s a green bird and part of the Leaper squad. He looks after the cannon in the Vortex. Once you’ve found him, engage in conversation with him near the central cannon on the main hub map. After this initial chat, feel free to talk to him again for multiplayer interaction.
In the following screen, pick your location first, then decide if you want to start a new game (Create Game) or join an existing one (Join With Code). To initiate a new game, you’ll have to input a name for your group, select the language, set the maximum number of players, choose the game difficulty, and opt for private or public play. If you elect for a public game, it will start right away, allowing players in your region to join instantly.
If you opt for a personal game, you’ll have to come up with a unique password that you can pass on to your friends. They should then pick the “Join Using Code” alternative and enter the code you generated. To exit the group, navigate to the main menu and select “Leave Team“. Instantly, you’ll be expelled and returned to your private game.
Where To Find Pietro
In the Vortex, FREND-43V3R is followed by Pietro as the second character you’ll encounter. He doesn’t have a fixed location, so keep advancing, dealing with enemies and mini-boss battles along the way. When you spot him for the first time, engage in conversation to discover that he must be attacked or knocked off platforms to return to the main hub world.
After that chat, he will essentially collapse on the ground, giving you an opportunity to strike. A single blow will trigger Pietro’s Rescue Fish to engulf him, returning him to safety. Upon your next demise and respawn in the central world, you’ll find Pietro standing near the Vortex Cannon.
