As a seasoned gamer with countless hours spent navigating treacherous virtual terrains, I can confidently say that the Fonos Basin in Throne and Liberty is not for the faint of heart. The Resistance’s Role Model quest, nestled within this perilous region, is a challenge that should be approached with caution and careful preparation.
In the game “Throne and Liberty”, certain regions prove incredibly challenging to endure, thereby making the associated Codex quests more difficult to accomplish. As the game progresses, you’ll encounter zones filled with numerous enemies that can quickly overpower an ill-prepared player. One such area is the “Fonos Basin”, situated just north of the starting zone, but it’s best to avoid exploring this region until your character has achieved the highest levels in the game.
In the Fonos Basin region lies a challenging mission named “Resistance’s Role Model,” where players aim to penetrate the Orc base, adversaries in the area. Initially, the steps of the mission may appear straightforward; however, there are certain aspects players should be mindful of when they choose to embark on this task. It is advisable for players to undertake this quest only after reaching the game’s highest level. Once at that point, they can manage the tasks more effortlessly, using this guide to bring the mission to a successful conclusion.
How To Complete Resistance’s Role Model
There are four objectives that players will need to complete for this quest:
- Talk to the Watcher’s Post Captain at Watcher’s Post.
- Use the Catapult to enter Fonos Basin.
- Use the Catapult and enter Fire Cave in Infiltration mode to get the Fonos Accessories on the Fonos Chair with being attacked.
- Talk to the Watcher’s Post Captain at Watcher’s Post.
Initially, players should wrap up a different Codex quest named “Land of the Wild, Fonos Basin.” Acquiring this quest will grant them the Orc Brawler Morph essential for this mission. After securing the morph, they can accomplish the tasks by executing these steps.
Talk To The Watcher’s Post Captain
The adventure gets underway in a straightforward manner by instructing players to converse with Victor, the leader at Watcher’s Post. He is stationed near a tent positioned north of the Watcher’s Post landmark. He will be the individual who assigns players the mission of secretly invading an Orc encampment and retrieving certain items from them. Now, it’s time to delve into the main objective of the quest.
Use The Catapult
Indeed, players must use a catapult to soar into the Orc camp as a means of penetrating their ranks. While they could simply walk there, Victor has suggested a more dramatic entrance instead.
The catapult is situated to the north of the area where players can locate Victor. He’s positioned in front of a substantial rock or hill. By utilizing the grappling hook, players will have to ascend this rocky formation to discover a lever they must activate. This action will cause the catapult to descend, enabling players to hop onto it and prepare for it to fling them into enemy domains.
Enter Fire Cave Without Being Attacked
Players should utilize their Glide Morph to descend towards a rock on the left side, which overlooks the Orcs. Landing directly where the catapult sends them could lead to significant fall damage, increasing the risk of player death.
Players should first transform themselves into the Orc Brawler Morph atop the rock, then descend without being assaulted. By adopting this disguise, they must proceed northward, following the quest marker on their map, to reach the entrance of Fire Cave.
During this, they need to avoid running into any Orc enemies to keep their disguise going.
Within the cave, they should follow the mini-map marker and proceed in that direction to discover the goods positioned like a throne. Interacting with these items allows players to claim them as their own. However, be aware that this action may expose the disguise as Orc Brawler. Luckily, at times, the surrounding enemies might not detect the change, as they now see a human among them who has apparently obtained some valuable resources.
In this scenario, players have the option to quickly teleport from Fire Cave to Watcher’s Post. However, if they are noticed, they must overcome the adversaries first before they can safely return to Watcher’s Post.
