Rainbow Six Siege Has Almost Made More Money Alone Than Any Other Ubisoft Franchise

As a dedicated gamer with over two decades of experience under my belt, I must say that Ubisoft’s financial update for FY24-25 has left me absolutely astounded! The performance of Rainbow Six Siege, a game I’ve been hooked on since its inception, is nothing short of phenomenal.

Ubisoft has shared significant financial insights for their upcoming fiscal years 24-25, shedding light on some intriguing aspects of the company. Among the highlights, a fascinating fact emerged: Rainbow Six Siege, when considered as a single game, has almost surpassed the total earnings of every other Ubisoft franchise.

That’s a lot of dollars.

Impressive Performance

2016 saw the launch of Rainbow Six Siege, Ubisoft’s premier competitive shooting game. Over time, it has garnered immense affection from gamers worldwide, resulting in a bustling esports community, among other achievements. It stands as an exemplary representation of the live-service model within gaming industry and continues to grow.

As a dedicated gamer, I’ve got to share some exciting news! In the latest financial report from Ubisoft, it turns out that since 2016, my favorite game, Rainbow Six Siege, has raked in an unbelievable €3.5 billion ($3.8 billion)! That’s not all, it’s only a smidgen behind the entire Assassin’s Creed series (a staggering €4 billion or $4.3 billion). And here’s the cherry on top – it’s even outpaced the Far Cry series, which has made a still-impressive €2 billion ($2.1 billion)! Can you believe it? What a testament to the game’s longevity and popularity!

Elsewhere, several franchises have just topped €1 billion in consumer spending:

  • The Division
  • Ghost Recon
  • Just Dance

If Rainbow Six Siege managed to achieve €500 million in sales immediately, it would surpass the cumulative consumer spending for every other Ubisoft franchise ever made, regardless of their age or number of games released.

Ubisoft has verified that over 30 million people are regularly playing Rainbow Six Siege, and this substantial number is significantly boosting the game’s financial security in the long run.
