All Spire of Insight Riddle Solutions in Crimson Desert

The Spire of Insight in Crimson Desert challenges players to solve puzzles on each floor. You’ll need to find specific objects and place them in the large, golden chalice at the center. The game doesn’t directly tell you what to look for – instead, clues are hidden in riddles found in a nearby book. While the riddles themselves aren’t too hard to understand, locating the correct items can be challenging. This guide will help Crimson Desert players who are struggling with the Spire of Insight.

How to Enter the Spire of Insight in Crimson Desert

The entrance to the spire is blocked by dense, thorny vines. You can clear them by using Blinding Flash to burn them away. To do this, enter Blinding Flash stance, then press the Focus button – it’s located in the bottom-right corner of your screen – to release a powerful beam of light.

Once you reach the entrance, you’ll be greeted by the first riddle, which reads:

When the earth shifts and settles, and finds its stability, time starts moving again.

To open the door, you need to collect pebbles from the ground near the entrance and place them on the small basin next to it. Use your aim key (Ctrl or L1) to manually put the pebbles on the basin. Once you do this, the door will open, allowing you to enter the spire. You’ll need to repeat this process with pebbles three more times as you continue climbing.

Spire of Insight — First Floor Riddle

The first floor is filled with shelves. In the center, you’ll notice a wooden platform – it holds even more shelves, a golden chalice, and a large book. We’ll refer to this platform as the Elevator. Reading the book on the Elevator will reveal a riddle:

Even after many years have passed, the traces left behind revive forgotten tales.

You need to find a small, glowing Gravestone. To find it, stand facing the Elevator and go to the desk on the right side of the room. Once you have the Gravestone, place it into the chalice. After a moment, the chalice will glow and then rise up to the second floor.

Before heading upstairs, search the surrounding shelves and cabinets for useful items. Keep an eye out for a book symbol – it marks the location of a guide to making bows.

Spire of Insight — Second Floor Riddle

When you get to the second floor, you’ll notice the room is much smaller than the first. It’s filled with bookshelves, but you won’t have to search through them – the clue to continue is:

History teaches us from the experiences of those who came before, and technology helps us envision what’s to come.

You’ll need a Pen Tip and a Telescope. The Pen Tip is in the small study room behind the Elevator, and the Telescope is right outside that room on a table. Grab both items and put them into the chalice to make the Elevator work again.

Spire of Insight — Third Floor Riddle

The final floor is an even smaller room with books littered everywhere, and the riddle here reads:

The movements of the stars, the Earth’s rotation, and the passage of time all suggest one fundamental idea.

You’re looking for a Sundial, a Small Map Rotator, and a Celestial – they’re hidden among the bookshelves. Once you’ve found all three, place them inside the chalice to unlock the top of the Spire of Insight. Note that you’ll only find the Abyss Gate at the top if you’ve made enough progress in the Crimson Desert. Otherwise, the top floor will be empty.

Head to the third floor to discover a book with instructions for making powerful two-handed weapons, and a recipe for crafting Gold Bars. You’ll find the Gold Bar recipe pinned to a shelf near where you locate the Celestial item.
