How to Make Gold Bars in Crimson Desert

In Crimson Desert, players can quickly find Gold Bars, and later learn a recipe to turn other materials into even more. This is a great way to earn a lot of money, and you can maximize your profits by investing it in a bank for passive income. Here’s how to get your economy started early in Crimson Desert.

Crimson Desert Gold Bar Location

The first Gold Bar is located in Lioncrest Manor, just a quick run northwest of Hernand. Getting inside isn’t easy – the manor is heavily guarded, so you can’t simply walk in. You’ll need to climb the outer walls and enter through an upstairs window instead.

Before trying this, you’ll need a Mask. You can find one by buying from black market sellers, taking it from bandits, or completing the Jeffrey bounty at Hernand Barracks. It’s also helpful to finish Bruna’s Request beforehand, as it will remove some enemies from the area.

When you enter Lioncrest Manor, go upstairs and find the fireplace across from the front door. Put out the fire, then hold the aim button until the game prompts you to steal something. If you’re wearing a mask, you’ll be able to grab a gold bar from the fireplace.

Be careful, Lioncrest Manor has guards inside. Watch for a guard on the first floor to walk into the hallway by the fireplace. When he does, quickly grab the Gold Bar – you should have enough time before he notices!

Gold Bar Crafting Recipe Location

You can learn to make Gold Bars by finding a recipe within the Spire of Insight. This spire is located far to the southeast of Hernand, near the Steel Mountains. You can reach it by horseback or by using the skybridges in the Abyss and parachuting down nearby. Once inside, head to the third floor and search the shelves for an alchemy formula. You can also find a similar formula in a witch’s hideout within the Silver Wolf Mountains.

Crafting Gold Bars

Okay, so if you want to make Gold Bars, you gotta find a Witch’s place and then their Cauldron. I know there’s one up north of Hernand in Shadow’s Whisper Cave. Once you find it, light it up and use it. You should see a menu pop up where you can find the recipe for Gold Bars. But, if the recipe isn’t there, don’t worry! There’s an ‘Improvise’ option – use that and just throw your materials into the Cauldron instead.

  • 3 Mercury
  • 10 Silver Ore

How to Invest Gold in Crimson Desert

Now that you have the Gold Bar, head to Hernand Bank and talk to the banker. They’ll offer you the chance to open a Strongbox, which costs 100 Silver. It’s a good deal, though, because Gold Bars usually earn you 500 Silver when invested! Once you have a Strongbox, choose how you want to invest and simply leave your Gold Bar there to accumulate earnings.
