How to Complete the Desert Fragment Puzzle in Crimson Desert

While exploring the Abyss, you’ll come across the challenging Desert Fragment puzzle. To solve it, you need to use Axiom Force on a yellow dial to turn the cubes and bounce light into three crystals.

Okay, so at first, figuring out how to spin those cubes felt kinda messy, but trust me, I’ve got a simple walkthrough for you. I’ll break down exactly how to rotate each one so you can light up all three crystals without getting frustrated. Just follow my steps, and you’ll get to the reward – I promise it’s worth it!

To start the Desert Fragment puzzle, use Axiom Force (level 3) on the yellow dial. This will let you move the cubes we’ll be discussing. You can cycle through the different cubes using the R2 and L2 buttons.

How to Activate the First Crystal

  1. Rotate Cube 1 so that the connecting light is pointing to the right inside Cube 2.
  2. Rotate Cube 2 so that the reflecting light is now shining forward into Cube 3.
  3. Rotate Cube 3 a little to the right so that it reflects light into the crystal on the right.

How to Activate the Second Crystal

  1. Rotate Cube 4 (left) to reflect light into Cube 5, which is just in front.
  2. Rotate Cube 5 all the way to the right to hit Cube 6, which is on the right.
  3. Rotate Cube 6 a little to the left, which will reflect light into the center crystal.

How to Activate the Third Crystal

  1. Rotate Cube 7 (right) to reflect light down into Cube 8.
  2. Rotate Cube 8 to reflect light off to Cube 9, which is on the left of the center.
  3. Rotate Cube 9 to the left so that it’s pointing light at the left crystal.

Once all three crystals are lit, as shown in the pictures, you can leave Axiom Force. Then, use a Jump combined with a Force Palm on the circular platform at the back – this will open the Abyss Gate and give you an Abyss Artifact.
