How to Beat Lithus & Liberate the Southern Quarry in Crimson Desert

Lithus the Cubewalker is a special boss you’ll find in the Southern Quarry at the Grace Estate. To complete this side quest in Hernand, you’ll need to clear out the Southern Quarry by defeating Lithus, a powerful stone creature.

To defeat Lithus, use Axiom Force on his glowing head to remove it from his body. This will cause him to crumble, making him much easier to defeat. We’ll cover the best strategy for doing this and freeing the Southern Quarry below.

How to Beat Lithus, the Cubewalker in Crimson Desert

  1. Use Axiom Force (L3) and aim for Lithus’s glowing cube on his head.
  2. Use L2 and the Right Stick to pull the cube out of Lithus’s head.
  3. Lithus will crumble into pieces, and you can attack any of them to deal damage.
  4. We recommend finding any cluster of his body and spamming R2’s heavy attacks for more damage, or Blinding Flash Finisher.
  5. When Lithus gets back up, dodge his attacks by using the rock structures as cover.
  6. Only try to grab Lithus’s head when he’s walking away, or after he’s just done an attack.

If you defeat Lithus, you’ll receive the Rune-Engraved Rock, a powerful two-handed weapon, and unlock the Secret of the Abandoned Mine, which gives you Fine Stone. Additionally, you can use Axiom Force and Triangle on the FPower Core – Verse of Sowing inside the Kuku Pot to seal it.

How to Liberate the Southern Quarry

  1. Now that you’ve defeated Lithus, you will take a chunk of liberation progress from the Southern Quarry.
  2. You now need to go around the Southern Quarry and defeat the Bleed Bandits found around the area.
  3. There’s an Infirmary, Barracks, and Training Ground that you can destroy with R1+R2 and through fire, but these don’t grant much liberation progress.
  4. It’s going to take a good few minutes to liberate the Southern Quarry, but even if you die to the enemies, the liberation meter will not reset.
