As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of Call of Duty under my belt, let me tell you, Black Ops 6 has been quite the rollercoaster ride so far. The campaign has been a breath of fresh air, but the multiplayer side is still a work in progress. The spawn problems and lack of weapon variety are remnants from the past that need to be addressed urgently.
Since its launch on October 29, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has been smashing franchise records one after another.
For the first time in many years, the campaign checks off all necessary elements, but the multiplayer aspect of the game remains somewhat unpolished. The developers at Treyarch are actively addressing these issues by releasing patches to rectify them.
In addition to persisting spawn issues inherited from past Call of Duty games, a significant challenge in Black Ops 6 multiplayer matches lies in the limited selection of available weapons.
Since its launch, assault rifles have been excelling in the game. However, the issue lies in other weapons falling behind, making it necessary to adapt by mainly using an assault rifle during battles, even if less enjoyable.
Treyarch decided to reduce the power of assault rifles and the Recon Combat Specialty for balance, ensuring that other types of weapons remain competitive.

Nuketown
After its addition on Friday, Nuketown is now also available for private matches.
Spawn Improvements
After years of complaints, Treyarch is fine-tuning the spawn logic across different maps.
This process involves frequent updates, as we continually analyze match data, meaning you can anticipate further modifications in upcoming updates.
Weapons Balancing
In update 1.060, the power of assault rifles was generally reduced, but other types of weapons also received an upgrade as a result.
As a gamer, I’ve noticed that my rifle now deals maximum damage up close, but the amount is less than before. Once I step back beyond its range, though, it falls back to dealing only minimum damage again.
The jump can be quite sudden. At the 40 m mark, for example, the Goblin Mk 2 went from 37 to 30 damage.
Meanwhile, submachine guns got their medium damage ranges extended.
Instead of instantly lethal with one bullet, shotguns now deal less damage per round, decreasing from 106 to 92.
The visual effect of flashbangs is down by 20% in this patch.
Perk Adjustments
Instead of seeing enemies for 2 seconds post-respawn, they will only be visible for 1.5 seconds with the Recon Combat Specialty. Treyarch plans to further reduce this duration prior to the launch of Season 1.
The Dispatcher Perk has slightly increased ability costs. UAVs now cost 550 instead of 500, while Counter UAV is now 600 rather than 550.
Stability Improvements
Today’s Announcement: Improvements have been made to Voice Communications, Daily Messages, and Infected Mode, reducing their chances of unexpected shutdowns or audio interruptions.
Completion Display
Progress will now appear correctly for Prestige Challenges in zombies and multiplayer.
Bailey’s Pistol
Bailey now has the correct sidearm in the Operator selection page.
Patched Premature Spawns
As a dedicated gamer, I was thrilled when they rectified that irritating glitch that used to occur when I’d jump into a game midway, landing straight in without the chance to select my loadout first. Now, I can pick my gear with ease and enjoy a smoother gaming experience!
Additionally, players will no longer die immediately upon spawning.
Scorestreak Rebalancing
Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) and Counter UAV systems boast larger hit points, whereas the napalm strike possesses a wider explosion range. On the other hand, both the LDBR and the strategic bomber exhibit shorter times before impact following deployment.
