How to Destroy Battle Weapons in Crimson Desert (Hidden Fangs Quest)
The Hidden Fangs quest becomes available after you capture the Black Bears’ base in the ‘In Ashes’ quest, as part of the Turning Tides storyline in Chapter 6: Cracks in the Shield. During this part of the Calphade, the Black Bears deploy dome-shaped machines that fire cannons in all directions. These machines are hard to attack up close, so you’ll need to find a different way to deal with them.
During the Calphade conflict in Turning Tides, players will receive Whistling Arrows. These allow Kliff to call in artillery strikes on enemy tanks. To use them, you must first equip them through the equipment selection screen – just hold the left D-pad button.
While exploring the world of Crimson Desert, if you come across any of the Black Bears’ large weapons, equip your bow and use Precision Aim on them. This will call in artillery strikes that instantly destroy the weapons. Keep searching the area to find and destroy a total of five of these tanks to finish the Hidden Fangs quest.
How to Get More Whistling Arrows in Crimson Desert (Hidden Fangs Quest)
Kliff doesn’t have many Whistling Arrows, so you’ll use them up quickly if you’re shooting a lot of Black Bear enemies. During the Hidden Fangs quest in Crimson Desert, you can get more by visiting one of the three resupply locations shown on your map.
Flag icons on the map mark places where you can fully restore Kliff and his horse’s health, grab healing supplies, and restock your Whistling Arrows. Once you use a checkpoint, it’s temporarily unavailable, so plan your visits accordingly.
