Prop Hunt is Coming Back to Call of Duty on November 14

As a seasoned Call of Duty fanatic with over two decades of gaming under my belt, I can’t contain my excitement for the return of Prop Hunt in Black Ops 6! It’s been far too long since we last saw this delightful mode, and I’ve missed the chaos of transforming into everyday objects and blending into the environment.

The much-loved Prop Hunt mode provides a refreshing break from the usual online battles and intense efforts to unlock camouflages. Unfortunately, this mode has not appeared in any Call of Duty game since Black Ops Cold War, which was released in 2020.

The situation is about to shift, as Treyarch has recently disclosed that the launch of Black Ops 6’s first season, scheduled for November 14, will introduce a fresh version of the Prop Hunt gameplay!

Proper Fun

Prop Hunt isn’t a staple game mode across all Call of Duty games; rather, it’s been featured occasionally. It made appearances in Black Ops 4, Cold War, Modern Warfare, and COD Mobile, but it has been around three years since it was last seen in a Call of Duty game.

Starting on November 14th, Treyarch and Raven Software will launch the inaugural season for Black Ops 6 and Warzone, which includes the exciting game mode, Prop Hunt.

If you’re not already aware, Prop Hunt pits one team against another in a game where the first group takes on the role of ‘prop hunters’, while their opponents transform into various items scattered across the map, such as barrels, crates, lamps, or vending machines. Their objective is to blend in and conceal themselves as these objects, while the prop hunters attempt to identify and eliminate them.

This game is incredibly enjoyable with no hint of competition whatsoever. It’s quite relaxed, even among the intense gaming options provided by Call of Duty. That’s why players find it so appealing. It offers a refreshing change from the usual intensity of multiplayer games.

In the first season, in addition to Prop Hunt, gamers playing Black Ops 6 will be granted access to both ‘Ransack’ and Ranked Play. This combination promises to spark a lively competitive environment that should remain active up until the arrival of the next Call of Duty title.
