As a seasoned gamer with a soft spot for all things Pokemon, I can confidently say that the introduction of Flairs in Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket has been a delightful addition to my mobile gaming experience. These animated decorations not only add a touch of personality to my collection but also serve as a reward for those who hoard duplicate cards.
In the Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket, individuals engage in the delight of unwrapping digital booster packs in search of particular cards to enrich their mobile collection. Once gathered, these cards can be assembled into functional decks and challenged against AI or other users, offering a streamlined experience similar to the real-life Pokemon Trading Card Game.
To make things engaging and offer players additional items to gather and tasks to complete, there are several small customization options available, like Flairs. If you’re curious about what Flairs are, their functions, and how to get them, all necessary details can be found in the guide provided below.
What Are Flairs & How to Get Them in Pokemon TCG Pocket?
As a dedicated Pokemon TCG Pocket gamer, I’ve discovered that Flairs serve as an extra, customizable touch to my cards. These optional enhancements can be crafted and unlocked, adding some visual flair to my deck. Essentially, they are animations – think sparkles, stars, and even fireworks – that pop up from the card when I take a closer look at it.
Flairs are an interesting feature because they come from additional versions of your cards, so even your duplicates have a role! Every card in the game can potentially unlock various Flairs. Many Flairs correspond with the Type of the Pokemon/Card, like Fire, Grass, and Water effects, while others offer more general aesthetic enhancements such as sparkles.
To unlock Flairs, some criteria must be met. First, you need to have at least three copies of a single card, as unlocking a Flair requires the player to still have at least two copies of the card left after expending one. This is for deck safety purposes, as the maximum number of copies per card allowed in a deck is also two. Aside from multiple duplicates of the card you wish to unlock a Flair for, you will also need to have some Shinedust to spend.
In the game, Shinedust serves as one of several forms of currency. You can acquire Shinedust by opening cards or by achieving mission objectives. The price of a Flair using Shinedust may differ based on the specific Flair you intend to activate. When you’re prepared to activate a Flair, navigate to your collection and select the card associated with the Flair you wish to unlock.
Upon looking at the card, you’ll notice an ‘Acquire Badge’ button situated towards the bottom of the screen. Feel free to click on this button, which will then display a menu showcasing various badges that can be earned for that specific card. For instance, the Farfetch’d displayed earlier only has a basic glitter badge available, while the Charizard card further down features an added touch of flames to enhance its artwork.
After choosing the Flair you wish to buy, simply tap on it to see a preview of the card and the purchase option will appear. As long as you have sufficient cards and Shinedust for the transaction, your selected items will be traded, and you’ll unlock a brand new Flair – it’s that simple!
