As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of experience under my belt, I can confidently say that Sengoku Dynasty has quickly become one of my favorite strategy games. The sheer amount of content and depth in this game is truly impressive, especially when it comes to character progression and village management.
In the “Peasant Kingdom,” the Sengoku Dynasty offers numerous tasks for players who aspire to create an enduring empire. To establish flourishing villages and free each region from adversaries, there’s a considerable journey ahead of you. Enhancing your equipment is crucial but so is boosting your personal skills if you aim to triumph.
As a devout fan, I can’t help but express my excitement over Sengoku Dynasty! This captivating game grants me four distinct paths to specialize in as I progress, each one unlocked through unique types of experience points. These paths are known as “The Leader’s Path,” “The Craftsman’s Path,” “The Warrior’s Path,” and “The Monk’s Path.” Each of these paths rewards me with enticing perks tailored to specific aspects of Sengoku Dynasty’s immersive gameplay. Mastering each path will be crucial in my quest to cultivate a flourishing society within the Sengoku era.
Best Way of the Leader Perks in Sengoku Dynasty
The Way of the Leader perks are all related to improving the way your villages and settlements function. Depending on which buildings and jobs you set up first, the exact order you pick these up will vary, but the following perks are excellent early on:
- Crop Caretakers: This Perk increases the rate at which Crops you personally plant will grow. This can massively increase your food production if you’re willing to get your hands dirty in the fields, capping out at a 75% growth speed increase when you purchase all three ranks. If you don’t want to do much farming personally, instead delegating to your villagers, this one won’t be as useful to you.
- Effective Meals Distribution: Crucial to your success if you want to expand your village faster, this will reduce the food requirements of your Villagers, allowing you to sustain a larger population with a smaller amount of food.
- Traveler Outposts: This one will be crucial if you want to have a way to move across the map quickly. Once unlocked, this perk allows you to create your own Fast Travel points to aid in navigation. These Outposts also provide you with access to personal storage, making them perfect for resupplying and stashing harvested materials.
- Worker Productivity Training: A Worker’s Productivity determines how much they can accomplish during a day’s work. Depending on the job, this could mean how many items they gather, or how many items they craft. Raising this stat will help a lot with your passive resource generation.
Best Way of the Craftsman Perks in Sengoku Dynasty
Improving Your Artisan Advantages will significantly boost your productivity and proficiency in every crafting and building endeavor within the game. Given that you’ll be engaged in a great deal of crafting throughout your playthrough, these advantages can greatly accelerate your progress. Here are some excellent early choices to consider:
- Skillful Lumberjack: This perk reduces stamina drain when chopping down trees and performing other tasks that utilize axes or adze. You’ll need a ton of wood to build up your village, making this especially useful early on when you don’t have villagers to gather it for you.
- Skillful Miner: This perk reduces stamina drain when mining with a pickaxe, making it easier for you to quickly gather stone and ore for use in crafting and construction. This is useful for the same reasons that Skillful Lumberjack is useful.
- Skillful Constructor: This greatly reduces stamina drain when constructing objects and structures. This makes construction work much less tedious, especially when paired with Seasoned Constructor later on.
- Hard Worker: More stamina is always helpful, giving you more energy to perform essential tasks both in construction and in combat. Each level of Hard Worker will give you +5 maximum stamina.
- Seasoned Lumberjack/Miner/Constructor: Once you’re able to reach these perks, you should prioritize them. They reduce the durability cost of using the tools associated with their respective activities, which means your equipment will last much longer before you need to replace it.
Best Way of the Warrior Perks in Sengoku Dynasty
The Warrior Perks will make you much more effective at combat and hunting, making them crucial to the Daimyo system and when dealing with bandits and other threats. Here’s a few early Warrior Perks that’ll make your life much easier:
- Animal Trophy Hunter: This one is crucial in the early game if you want to start gathering more materials from animals early on. This will allow you to gather items like Antlers and Fangs, which will be useful as you progress.
- Parrying Abilities: Another essential perk for combat, this will give you the ability to parry by blocking enemy attacks with perfect timing, making you much deadlier in combat once you get the hang of it.
Best Way of the Monk Perks in Sengoku Dynasty
The Perks for the Path of the Monk offer advantages that cater to various activities and gameplay styles. Here are some strong initial choices from this category of Perks:
- Craftsman/Warrior/Monk Apprentice: These Perks are simple, straightforward, and incredibly useful. Each one provides an experience boost for a specific skill tree, allowing you to earn Perk Points in that skill tree more quickly and thus progress to the higher tiers of that skill tree faster. Monk is the first you should pick, since it will allow you to get to the others more quickly.
- Ascetic Training: This perk reduces the rate at which your Food stat depletes, allowing you to go longer between meals and get more done with the same amount of food.
- Craftsman Focus: This is useful for all the same reasons as the Hard Worker perk from the Craftsman skill tree. More stamina means you can get more done without needing to wait for the meter to refill, so it’s always good to increase your max stamina when you can.
