Haki is a powerful ability in the world of One Piece that became increasingly important as Luffy and his crew explored the New World. At its core, Haki is a spiritual energy that enhances senses, strengthens attacks, and improves defense. Even in its basic form, Haki is a formidable power, but in the latest part of the story, masters of advanced Haki are appearing more often. The creator, Oda, has introduced many powerful users, with just a few standing out as the strongest of their time.
10. Yamato
- Advanced Haki Types: Conqueror’s, Armament
Yamato is a highly proficient user of Advanced Haki. During the final fight with Kaido in the Wano Country Arc, Yamato demonstrated exceptional mastery of Advanced Conqueror’s Haki. Given that Yamato is Kaido’s child, it makes sense that they have such a strong ability to control Haki.
I watched Yamato fight Kaido, and it was incredible. Very few fighters could even stand against him, let alone actually hurt him, but Yamato managed to do both. They quickly established themselves as a truly powerful opponent.
9. Five Elders
- Advanced Haki Type: Conqueror’s, Armament
The Five Elders are among the most frightening characters in the world of One Piece. The final arc revealed their incredible power as they fought on Egghead. Each Elder has a deep connection to Imu, and they all possess exceptionally strong Conqueror’s Haki.
The Five Elders are incredibly powerful warriors in the world of One Piece, so it’s logical they’d be masters of advanced Haki techniques. Even from the glimpses fans have seen, it’s clear they’re among the most skilled Haki users as the story comes to a close.
8. Loki
- Advanced Haki Type: Conqueror’s Haki
Loki is a notorious troublemaker, widely known as the Accursed Prince of Elbaf. He’s exceptionally powerful, inheriting strength from his Ancient Giant lineage and further enhanced by the power of Nidhogg. With the added ability of Ragnir, Loki is a truly formidable opponent.
What truly sets him apart is his exceptional mastery of Haki. His Conqueror’s Haki is incredibly powerful – strong enough to have seriously injured King Harald during their battle 14 years ago. While he may not be the most skilled at using Conqueror’s Haki in complex ways, his overall control of the power itself is remarkably high.

7. Monkey D. Luffy
- Advanced Haki Type: Armament, Observation, Conqueror’s
Monkey D. Luffy has become skilled in different types of Haki over time. During the Whole Cake Island arc, he improved his Observation Haki to the point where he could foresee events. In Wano, he strengthened his Armament Haki, allowing him to inflict damage to an opponent’s insides. Eventually, he even learned to cover himself with Conqueror’s Haki.
By the time the story reaches the Elbaf arc, Luffy is skilled in all three types of advanced Haki, but he’s still learning and improving – Scopper Gaban clearly has more to teach him before he truly masters it.
6. Silvers Rayleigh
- Advanced Haki Type: Armament, Conqueror’s
Silvers Rayleigh is incredibly skilled in Haki, a testament to his power even without a Devil Fruit. He’s a master of advanced Conqueror’s Haki, quickly teaching the basics to Luffy. During a brief clash with Blackbeard, Rayleigh demonstrated such strong Haki control that he forced Blackbeard to withdraw from Amazon Lily. Though he doesn’t have many widely known displays of Haki, it’s clear that Rayleigh is exceptionally powerful.
5. Scopper Gaban
- Advanced Haki Type: Armament, Observation, Conqueror’s
Scopper Gaban is a key figure in the Elbaf arc, and he’s proven to be one of the most skilled users of advanced Haki we’ve seen. He can foresee future events and expertly control Conqueror’s Haki, even to the point of overcoming the apparent immortality of powerful figures like the Holy Knights and the Five Elders.
Wow, let me tell you about Scopper Gaban – this guy is seriously powerful! He actually pushed King Harald to his limits fourteen years ago, and more recently, he completely destroyed Sommers in a flash. It looked like Gunko would have been finished with just one hit if Gaban hadn’t been interrupted. Honestly, it’s clear he’s one of the most skilled Haki users we’ve seen so far – his mastery is just incredible!
4. Monkey D. Garp
- Advanced Haki Type: Armament, Conqueror’s
Even though he’s elderly, Monkey D. Garp is incredibly skilled in Haki, as shown during the Egghead Arc. He launched a fierce attack against the Blackbeard Pirates, and his initial move, Galaxy Impact, decimated most of their crew. He then battled Aokiji, easily defeating him with his superior Haki abilities.
Garp defeated several of Blackbeard’s top commanders, and his final blow even split the massive skull-shaped rock on Pirate Island in two, seriously injuring Avalo Pizarro. Although his Haki isn’t as strong as it used to be, he’s still remarkably skilled with it.
3. Shanks
- Advanced Haki Type: Armament, Observation, Conqueror’s
Shanks is currently considered one of the most powerful Haki users in the series, and many believe he might be the strongest. However, the full scope of his abilities is still a mystery.
Fans believe Shanks’ Haki is comparable to that of the legendary Joy Boy. We’ve seen it’s incredibly powerful – strong enough to instantly overwhelm and frighten someone as formidable as Aramaki during the Wano Arc. He also enhances his sword with potent Haki, capable of defeating opponents like Kid and Killer with a single blow. Beyond that, Shanks can foresee the future, and he’s clearly a master of this ability.
2. Imu
- Advanced Haki Type: Conqueror’s
Imu is a major villain in the final arc of One Piece and a powerful opponent. Their strength has been demonstrated multiple times, making it clear they are incredibly dangerous. Imu possesses a very advanced form of Haki called Conqueror’s Haki, which was proven at God Valley, where it even surprised legendary pirates like Roger and Rocks.
Imu demonstrated incredible control over Haki on Elbaf, with its power being felt for miles, even reaching into the depths of the island’s underworld. This mastery of Haki makes Imu a terrifying opponent, capable of defeating even incredibly powerful pirates like the Rocks crew.
1. Emeth (Joy Boy)
- Advanced Haki Types: Conqueror’s
Throughout the final arc of the story, Emeth proved to be the most skilled user of advanced Haki. This ability wasn’t his own, but actually belonged to Joy Boy, who sealed it within Emeth centuries ago for a time of great crisis. When the Straw Hat Pirates faced danger on Egghead, Emeth released this powerful Haki, creating a massive display of force that split the sky and even knocked out Navy Vice Admirals.
Furthermore, the event stripped the Five Elders of their authority and returned them to Marijoa. Most significantly, it deeply affected Imu, suggesting that Joy Boy was exceptionally powerful with Haki – perhaps the strongest in the One Piece world. Although Joy Boy has passed away, Emeth was alive until very recently, making him the most skilled advanced Haki user currently shown in the series.
