FromSoftware Parent Company Confirms 20 Upcoming Console Games

As a seasoned gamer with decades of experience under my belt, hearing about Kadokawa Corporation’s 26 actively developed games is like striking gold in a digital mine. FromSoftware‘s presence alone makes my heart race with anticipation for new installments in beloved franchises like Armored Core and Dark Souls. The potential for sequels to Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and Elden Ring sends shivers down my spine, and the possibility of remasters or remakes of classic games has me practically salivating!

It was recently confirmed by Kadokawa Corporation, the parent company of FromSoftware, that they currently have 26 video games under active development.

Based on a report from GameWatch (through Automaton), Kadokawa Corporation recently disclosed that out of the 26 video games they’re working on, 20 are intended for consoles and the remaining six for mobile devices. The development of these games will be handled by various studios such as FromSoftware, Spike Chunsoft, Gotcha Gotcha Games, Acquire, VIC GAME STUDIOS, among others. Interestingly, Acquire, known for the Tenchu series, was acquired by Kadokawa in December 2023.

Upcoming from FromSoftware, there’s an exciting lineup of games that enthusiasts are eagerly waiting for. Famous series such as Armored Core and Dark Souls have seen multiple instalments, so it’s likely we’ll see more additions to these beloved franchises. Furthermore, they may also be working on sequels for hits like Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and Elden Ring. On top of that, there’s even talk of potential remasters or remakes of some of their classic games.
