Xbox Teases Spyro Coming to Xbox Game Pass

As a dedicated Spyro fan who has been following the purple dragon’s adventures since the late ’90s, I can hardly contain my excitement! The recent hints from Xbox Game Pass have me believing that the day of our reunion is finally approaching. Remember when I spent countless hours as a kid, saving the Dragon Realms on my trusty PlayStation? Well, it seems like I’ll be able to do it all over again, this time on my Xbox!

Xbox has teased that Spyro will be added to Xbox Game Pass in the near future.

The hint originated from the Xbox Game Pass account (previously Twitter), who shared a brief 27-second clip featuring Spyro’s chest. A few minutes later, the Spyro account responded with multiple eyeball emojis, indicating that a significant announcement might be upcoming.

It was speculated earlier this year that various Activision games like Spyro might join Game Pass, however, a definitive timeline for their arrival remained unclear.

In October, Game Pass gained Call of Duty as part of its offerings, a move that some experts suggested boosted its subscriber base by numerous millions. Presently, however, it appears that Xbox and Activision are preparing for yet another significant launch featuring everyone’s beloved purple dragon.

In 2007, Activision reported that more than 20 million copies of the Spyro The Dragons series had been sold. However, as of September 2023, the Spyro Reignited Trilogy has surpassed 10 million units in sales across all gaming consoles.

Generally speaking, Xbox tends to unveil and make available its Game Pass titles on Thursdays, so do keep an eye out for any announcements coming up in the next few days.
