The long-awaited second season of “Arcane” has begun with a grand opening! Although the narrative continues to revolve around familiar faces, a fresh batch of characters from “Arcane” have stolen the hearts of viewers almost instantly. Just like other series characters who seem infallible, they are all captivating and leave an indelible impression within mere seconds of their screen time.

Suitably, both Piltover and Zaun introduce fresh characters, offering supporters additional motivations to rally for either side during their devastating civil conflict. Notably, most of the figures hailing from Piltover are Enforcers, making the confrontations more significant. Although no new champions for League of Legends have emerged in Season 2 as of yet, images of Janna adorned walls, and followers of Warwick will find the episode conclusions engaging.

5 Steb

A Silent Soldier Who Cares More Than You’d Think

Regarding the new Enforcers and Caitlin’s strike team, it’s clear that Steb is the most enigmatic member, with only scant details disclosed about his personality traits after three episodes. Yet, when the situation calls for action, he stands firm with his team. Steb makes his debut alongside his Enforcer partner Maddie, who stumbles upon Vi and Loris in a drunken slumber on the streets. Later, he takes part in safeguarding the councilors during an attack on the memorial.

In Episode 3, although Steb doesn’t utter a word, it’s evident that he values actions over speech. He was the swift one to rush forward and aid a man who was bound and suspended. Later on, you can see him attending to the man’s injuries, disregarding the man’s criminal background.

4 Lest

A New Player Or Pawn In The Politics Of Piltover

Characters with mysterious appearances and unique personalities aren’t necessarily novel, as each character tends to offer something fresh. Lest serves as another demonstration of this, initially asked to depart a room by Ambessa who may have only given her a minor role. However, it is subsequently disclosed that Lest employed her exceptional hearing to eavesdrop on the Noxian warlord for her daughter Mel.

It’s intriguing to observe whether Lest will persist as a piece in these power struggles or if she’ll break free and assert herself as a key player. Given her potential, she definitely warrants close attention, particularly given that Mel has been seized by the Black Rose.

3 Junior Officer Maddie Nolen

A Ray Of Sunshine Midst Doom & Gloom

Finding positivity after devastation can be challenging, making the arrival of Junior Officer Maddie Nolen all the more invigorating. Her luminous presence didn’t just resonate with fans the moment she appeared on-screen, but also touched Vi, who played a crucial role in persuading her to enlist.

It’s impressive how the creators made her so endearing in such a short amount of time, and in the same episode, her life is at risk when a Turbo Chemtank pulls her out of a van and dangles her high above the ground. If this had been a random Enforcer, then there wouldn’t have been much at stake, but knowing it was Maddie had fans deeply invested. Junior Officer Nolen, showing herself to be brave and competent, then joined Caitlin’s elite team tasked with rooting out Jinx and shutting down the production of Shimmer. She also appears to be fiercely loyal, as evidenced by the way she welcomed Caitlin’s installment as military leader of Piltover.

2 Isha

A Traumatized Orphan Similar To Powder

The Best New Characters In Season 2 Of Arcane

At the beginning of Season 2, Episode 2 of Arcane, a young girl escapes from a group of thugs, and it’s none other than Jinx who comes to her rescue unintentionally. Her distinctive features – a Teemo cap on her head and large eyes – quickly win her many hearts among the fans. The way she trails after Jinx hints that she may be all alone.

Initially seeming as a supporting figure, Isha found herself thrust into a high-stress situation where she stood alone between sisters Jinx and Vi. The startling act of pointing a gun at Vi to shield Jinx suggests a deeply troubled past for Isha, reminiscent of the young character Powder. Her desire to safeguard an older role model almost led her to take another’s life.

1 Loris

The Strong Silent Enforcer With Morals

The Best New Characters In Season 2 Of Arcane

At the start of Arcane’s Season 2 Episode 1, Vi finds herself grappling with her future responsibilities and resentful towards Caitlin for asking her to betray their people. Moreover, the shock at her sister’s actions and transformation haunts her deeply. Fortunately, in the pouring rain, a mysterious individual consoles her, and he too appears to be burdened by sorrow over the recent attack. Surprisingly, when this figure speaks with a comforting and soothing tone reminiscent of Vander, some viewers may initially believe that Vander has returned from his presumed demise.

After attending Mel Medarda’s speech, the two individuals engaged in a fight alongside each other and protected others when the event was attacked. It is later disclosed that Loris‘s name is who he is, and he demonstrates exceptional combat skills and a natural inclination towards protection using his shield. It remains uncertain whether Loris was an Enforcer prior to or as a result of this battle, but he ultimately becomes part of Caitlin’s elite special forces team. In Episode 3, Loris leaves the scene after witnessing Caitlin, driven by vengeance, being granted immense power. By doing so, he reveals himself to be a man with strong morals and a character worth keeping an eye on.
