Cassie is not only a skilled doctor, but also a devoted mother. When her son visits during the first season, she instantly demonstrates strong and natural maternal instincts. She realistically portrays the challenge of juggling parenthood with a demanding medical career, proving it is possible. The ER wouldn’t be the same without her dedication and warmth.

5. Dr. Dennis Whitaker is an Innocent Farm Boy with Serious Doctoral Skills

Wiley doesn’t just play the part; he embodies the role, and consistently demonstrates a deep understanding of the medical side of things. He truly makes the show work.

Dr. Robby is no longer the only attending physician, but he remains a top performer. Season two introduced Dr. Al-Hashimi and explored a growing mental health crisis, and it’s unclear how these storylines will resolve. Fans hope Dr. Robby’s time away is a genuine break and that his colleagues will stay connected with him.
