As a diehard Dying Light fan with over a decade of gaming under my belt, I can confidently say that Techland has hit a home run with Dying Light: The Beast. The return of Kyle Crane, voiced by the talented Roger Craig Smith, is like a reunion with an old friend who’s been through hell and back.
At Gamescom, Techland introduced Dying Light: The Beast – a substantial, independent game sequel that features Kyle Crane once again in post-apocalyptic action. It’s nearly a decade since we first saw Crane on our screens in Dying Light, and this time around, he’s coming back with a powerful comeback in this new tale.
Title “The Beast” is an intriguing one as it unfolds in a tranquil countryside, far from the bustling city landscapes of Harran or Villedor. The story takes place 13 years after the initial Dying Light game’s events, allowing players to take on the role of a hardened and weathered version of Kyle Crane.
Everything We Wanted
Enthusiasts of the initial Dying Light were thrilled to hear that Roger Craig Smith will reprise his role as Kyle Crane in Dying Light: The Beast. I had the opportunity to chat with Smith during Gamescom about this upcoming title, which looks set to be nothing less than extraordinary.
This game, titled “The Beast,” provides ample room for exploration in a sizable world. To enhance movement options, Techland has reintroduced drivable vehicles. In this title, the protagonist Crane possesses beasty capabilities, which is why it’s called as such. Players can unleash destructive abilities due to these powers.
In keeping with previous Dying Light games, you’ll have the option to play The Beast alone or team up with as many as three companions.
In the last ten weeks, Techland announced that Dying Light: The Beast had garnered over a million wishlists, suggesting an increasing excitement for the upcoming game. As the head of the Dying Light series, Tymon Smektala stated this news.
Appreciate your faith in us and the zest you’ve shown towards Kyle Crane’s upcoming journey. Your eagerness ignites our motivation, and we are dedicated to providing a truly remarkable adventure for you.
It’s quite remarkable that The Beast has broken records as the most quickly wishlisted game in the series’ history due to its strong pre-orders.
