Here’s How The Black Ops 6 Season One Battle Pass Works

As a seasoned gamer with decades of experience under my belt, I must say that the new Black Ops 6 Season One Battle Pass has certainly piqued my interest! The page-by-page system is a refreshing change from the ‘tac-map’ system we’ve seen in recent games.

Starting November 14th, players of Black Ops 6 have the opportunity to purchase the Season One Battle Pass, an additional feature that offers numerous enhancements and perks as they progress throughout the season. This year, there’s a slight change from previous years, as Activision’s development teams have opted for a multi-page system rather than the ‘tactical map’ system used in more recent games.

In simpler terms, you’ll find that accessing rewards from the Black Ops 6 Season One Battle Pass operates somewhat uniquely compared to before, but the changes aren’t too drastic.

How to Get The Black Ops 6 Season One Battle Pass

On November 14th, the Season One update for Black Ops 6 will roll out, and this will introduce the game’s inaugural Battle Pass.

After obtaining the update, you’ll be able to acquire the Season One Battle Pass by spending 1,100 Call of Duty Points. These can either come from your existing balance or be newly purchased for the Battle Pass. For those who wish to enhance their gaming experience, a ‘Battle Pass Bundle’ is available at a cost of 2,400 COD Points. This bundle offers more than 20 tier skips as an added benefit.

How Does The New Battle Pass Work?

In Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, the Battle Pass operates like a book, dividing rewards such as Double XP Tokens, free Call of Duty Points, weapons, and charms across 17 sections. Upon purchasing the Battle Pass (or the BlackCell Battle Pass), you’ll swiftly move through several sections initially, followed by gradually unlocking every other reward thereafter.

After finishing all the pages, you’ll unlock a special ‘Completion Page’, where you can find this season’s most inspiring prizes.

It works like this:

Earn Battle Pass XP to unlock more Tokens for the Pass
Use these Tokens to unlock rewards on the pages of the Battle Pass in whatever order you want

That’s it – if you open a page and see a free camo that you’d like before the charms, loading screen art, or Double XP Tokens, then simply click to secure that camo. If you’ve not invested in a Battle Pass, you’ll still be entitled to a few free rewards in Black Ops 6 – so don’t worry about being left out (you just don’t get access to the Token system).

As you turn the pages, you’ll often discover ‘HVT Tiers’, which are unlocked upon completing a page and typically offer bigger rewards such as a new Operator. If you’re a BlackCell owner, you’ll benefit from the ability to unlock pages in a non-sequential manner, an advantage that standard Battle Pass owners do not have.
